Summary: Writing of classic proportions
Review: Something about this movie is unique. Maybe it's in its presentation, or maybe the music, or the writing, but something about this movie makes it very unusual, and that is what makes it great. In this age of carbon copy action movies, to find one that breaks out of a genre is a rare find. I saw this movie four times in the theater, simply amazing. Don't miss it.

Summary: This one touched me.....
Review: There are plenty of movies that have made me cry, or take a different perspective on life, but City of Angels touched me. I can't go into the produce section of the supermarket w/o thinking of Maggie's description of how a pear tastes to her. Yeah, the story was totally predictable, but the acting was so great and the scenery and the music and...everything else made up for it. This is definitely one of my all time favorites!

Review: I loved this movie. I let the sunroof on my car open more after I saw it in the theaters. The black trenchcoats are a really nice touch, and I liked the ambiguity about god---it never becomes a preachy film. Predicable and not very deep, but emotional all the same.

Summary: Overrated, Sentimental, Boring, Predictable
Review: Leave it to Hollywood to take a good cast (Cage, Ryan, Franz) and an interesting concept (How does it feel to be an angel among us?) borrowed from an outstanding film (Wim Wenders's Wings of Desire) and make a mess of it. If they had stopped half an hour before the end, leaving the outcome in doubt, the film would have been ok, but that last half-hour of soap opera or melodrama, or overwrought junk would kill a better film than this. Lilly Kilvert gets full marks for production design, and the actors deserve credit for trying to put some life into this dreary tale, but in the end we say thumbs down!

Review: I really feel in love with this movie. This characters were see fascinating. Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage are very talented extrodinary actors. I saw it twice in the theater and once from a rental store. I cried every single time, even though I had seen it before. I can't wait for it to be released in February. I really want to buy it and can't wait. You have to see this movie!

Review: I love both Nicholas Cage and Meg Ryan, so I was really looking forward to this movie. I have to say that Nicholas Cage as one the angels was perfectly cast - we were forced to like him immediately! He was more human than many humans - so we knew he'd take advantage of free will and fall. Not seeing the original, I was genuinely surprised by the emotions this evoked in me. I look forward to it's release on video!!

Review: When I saw this picture I believed much more in angels because it shows an angel as NICK CAGE falls in love with a doctor and all the things he have to do pour her. It is fantastic. MEG RYAN has a good perfomance with DENIS FRANZ.
