Review: I am seldom emotional about a film (or anything) but this was a great, unexpected, pleasure. I like Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage in anything but...together!!! Reading the box I thought the story was a little too bizarre and unrealistic, but the story turned out to be excellent, and the actors, superb. I enjoyed seeing familar faces like Dennis Franz. Some of the themes hit nerves that I haven't touched since school. The Hemingway twist added depth and appreciation. Meg has matured, and she looks great.

YOU FEEL THE EMOTIONS AS IF THEY WERE YOUR OWN, AND YOU WILL LONG TO HAVE SOMEONE LOVE YOU THE WAY NICOLAS CAGE LOVES MEG RYANS CHARACTER.YOU WILL CRY TEARS OF SADNESS AND JUST CRY BECAUSE OF HOW TOUCHING THE MOVIE IS.

Review: Most people are afraid to explore a subject as deep as this. There is something greater out there, something bigger, if you will.It was a very entertaining film that will bring some religion into skeptical people's lives.I absolutely love the film and the music was beautiful as well.

Summary: Actually 4 1/2 Stars!
Review: In a year of many tremendous films this one can be easily overlooked. However it is the most romantic film, besides TITANIC, of the last few years. The acting is wonderful, although the script falters now and again. The direction is rhythmic and well paced. It may just make my top ten list of 1998, but only barely. The DVD is superb and does this beautiful film justice. Get your hankies. 91/100 A-

Review: I had no idea what this movie would be like but I loved it! Meg Ryan is like a breath of fresh air in this film: less chatter and more poise. Nicholas Cage looked like he does in all of his movies : dark and handsome. The story is based on another movie I have never seen and do not care to see. I recommend City of Angels for what it has to offer: superb acting, incredible photography, fantastic sound track and an ending which might appear sad and unfair but not a total loss. This is no run of the mill love story but have the tissue box handy!

Review: In my opinion this was one of the best movies I have ever seen. I think this was Nicholas Cage's best movie. It was a wonderful movie about the ups and downs of love. The sound track was exceptionally good too. It is a must see for all!
