Review: A stark eye'd, mad looking Cage asks some construction workers - "is this blood?". Movie was excellent until cage became mortal, and then he became a little too animated. Seemed more like Castor Troy in Face Off than an Angel. But, at the end of the day, a pretty watchable movie.

Summary: The Ultimate Love Story
Review: This is not a remake of Wim Wenders German classic but rather a Hollywood update of the movie. Seth (Cage) meets Maggie (Ryan) much earlier than than in the original, and a romantic aspect is set up from this point. Yearning for a real life, Angel Seth takes the ultimate plunge to be with his love, for any one who hasnt seen the movie i wont tell you the ending. Well shot by 2nd time Director Brad Siberling(Casper) brilliant acting by the whole cast and a music soundtrack and score that compliments like no other film, no romantic in the world can shrug off this movie. If you havent yet seen it you have to do yourself a favour and make sure you do. The DVD copy of this movie contains excellent special features and is more than compliments this great movie.A must see.

Review: A powerful story about An Angel in Los Angeles that would give up his immortality for an beautiful surgeon. I'm really an bad Explainer so that's all I can say. The movie wasn't sad enough to shed a tear but, it was touching(my opinion). This movie is one of the greatest dramas of all time. Okay i'll ruin it a little that the ending was kind of weird. Most of my friends loved it but, agreed with me at the ending( hey at least I did not tell you what happened).

Review: City of Angels was a very carefully crafted tale of romance. Meg Ryan's beautiful looks and great acting skills made her an enchanting character. This is a movie for all who yearn for that one person that can comfort them. It dealt with Nicolas Cage's desire to be with Meg Ryan's character Maggie, even though his angelhood prevented it. I just thought that the love between them was intense. Nick's character Seth goes through everything just to be with one person, the person he loves. When they finally come together you can feel a magical love in the air. It's a movie that makes you cry, smile, and remember that there is hope that one day you will find true love.

Review: Nicolas Cage as an angel? Well he did a really good job. Consider the dialog he had to work with. After seeing Con Air I had a hard time thinking of this guy as an angel. But he suprised me. Meg Ryan is Meg Ryan. However if an angel fell in love America would believe it could happen if the person was Meg Ryan. Beauty and Smarts. Do angels fall for the rest of us? Wonder what the angels would say? Would an angel fall for Rosanne? Guess it depends on the angel.

Review: TERRIBLE ! Was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. My girlfriend and I went to see it at the movies and neither one of us said anything the whole movie but after it was over we both said that we wanted to walk out. We both hated it, and she usually cries at these type of movies. She did not shed a tear. It was not a long movie, but it seemed to drag forever. You do not get emotionally involved with the characters at all.Do not buy this, do not even watch it. There are much better things to do with your time. BEWARE!

Review: I had the misfortune of seeing this movie after one of my friends recommended it. She guarunteed that I would cry. You can be sure that I cried all right: first, because I had paid $3.50 to rent this film, and then when I realized how bad it was. I am a huge fan of Nicolas Cage, but I can't stand Meg Ryan. I had hoped one would cancel the other out. Unfortunately, it didn't. This film was ridiculously sappy and long. I actually fast-forwarded through some of the conversations because they were so dull. Plus there was no chemistry between Cage and Ryan. I was completely unconvinced. The saddest part of this film is that the soundtrack is so great. This movie does not deserve the great songs that were placed in it. I wish there was a law against pairing an awesome soundtrack with a lousy movie. Overall: good music, good actors, but they rely too much on cliche lines and cheesy dialogue.

Summary: Ryan and Cage - A match made in heaven
Review: Thank God this film isn't just another boring love story with a happy ending. For the first time Ryan takes a story which leads to hurt instead of happiness. I'm also not a major Cage fan but I have to say that he gets the best roles around. Both actors give it their best and it really shows. If you are into soppy films or you're having a girlie night in then I would definitely recommend this film because it will make you cry your little eyes out. One of the saddest films of the year. Well worth seeing.

Review: City of Angels is one of those movies that you can watch over and over. There are times that it makes you cry and times when you are laughing. I havent seen a movie like this in a long time. I would recommend it to eveyone.
