Summary: A guilty pleasure
Review: This atypical Harrison Ford-Annette Bening outing is one of those guilty pleasures that critics who deride it won't fess up to its feel-good result. We see Ford first as an ethic-skirting attorney whose sense of justice apparently doesn't extend beyond how the letter of the law can be manipulated to "win" at the cost of "human" justice. Of course, the film's premise that a gunshot wound to the head, which is what happens to Ford's character of Henry Turner, can create a neurological about-face in character is ridiculous. But we don't care. It's plain fun and reassuring to see Henry go from an amoral, apparently unfeeling big shot to a family man seeking to fit into his new world. Ford carries this film all the way and proves he can unleash an emotional performance, something most of his film characters aren't required to do. The film's closing scene, with Ford being called up to the teacher's desk, is a satisfying and fitting end. As for Benning, she's thoroughly engaging as the wife who gets a treat of having her life completely uprooted, for the better!

Summary: Regarding henry
Review: This is an awesome video.Five stars.I love Harrison ford and this was a differnt role for him. this didn't have any action in it like all his other movies. This movie was sweet. It shows how a man who at one point his life doen't care about his family. then he gets shot and ends up in a coma. he must learn everything all over again ex. talking ,walking. He falls in love with his wife and daughter all over again. this pulls at your heart strings.

Summary: Excellent Movie with a message
Review: This is one of my favorite movies and I'm surprised that it's not on DVD yet. I am resisting the urge to buy it on VHS and will wait for the release on DVD, since that is all I ever buy anymore.
If you haven't seen this movie; at least rent it and I'm sure most of you will also purchase this for your library as soon as it's released (DVD).

Summary: In case you missed this movie...
Review: This isn't one of Harrison Ford's bigger hits, but it should be, at least within the dramatic genre. Sure, he's Indiana Jones, and he's Han Solo, but outside of those series, Ford's movie choices have occasionally left this fan, at least, scratching her head (Sabrina? What were you thinking!?).

"Regarding Henry" is a rare little gem of a story, a simple film about a man whose life changes, believe it or not, for the better when he's shot and nearly killed by dint of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Ford's Henry Turner takes us through a life he doesn't remember, including a daughter and a wife played by an impossibly young and fresh-faced Annette Bening.

Sure, it's a little sentimental. But it's a pretty simple story with a positive feel. Filmed on location in New York City, the Manhattan scenery is rather delightful as well.

It's not film noir, it's not a tour de force of characterization, and no, it's not Academy Award winning screenwriting. But it is a thoroughly enjoyable movie, one Ford doesn't have any reason to be ashamed of.

Summary: A sentimental journey
Review: This movie didn't get great critical reviews, but I enjoyed it a great deal. It probably is a bit corny in places, but I don't think that detracts from the overall message that career and financial success aren't all that's important in life, and that it can take a catastrophic event to make us see that. This is a wonderful film to watch while cuddled up with your sweetheart. You cna't ask for much more than that!

Summary: The Greatest Movie of All Time
Review: This movie is the story of a man who finds true happiness; however, before he can find it he must lose his life. After being shot, Henry Turner has lost all his memory and must re-learn everything from scratch. His biggest conflict is re-learning who he is, or rather who he was. Ultimately he realizes that he cannot be the Henry Turner he was before the amnesia. He is a new man who holds people higher than things, and love higher than image. He does not want to be the lawyer he was, but he does want to be the husband and the father he was not. Henry finds true happiness in the savoring of love.

Summary: Umm...WHAT?!
Review: Two stars only because the first 15 minutes or so is pure Harrison Ford brilliance. The rest of the film left me scratching my head. What is the message here? Insensitive workaholic-types are capable of an emotional transformation only if they're lobotomized? I imagine the original pitch went something like, "Harrison Ford as ruthless lawyer gets brain injury and has to start his life over; the rest will write itself!" Well, it didn't.
