Summary: Lovingly created adaptation of a wonderful book
Review: Everyone seems to focus on the ending of this movie, but there is so much more to it. Malkovich plays Lennie believably and poignantly infusing humor and understanding into his character. Sinise is to be commended not only for his portrayal of George, but also for his direction. The colors are warm and the camera angles create an immediacy which draw in the viewer. Sinise and Foote's screenplay are faithful to Steinbeck, but they don't let their reverence get in the way of telling a great story.

Summary: Amazing!!
Review: After reading Steinbeck's novel 'Of Mice and Men' i thought that if a movie was ever going to be made based on it, it has to be brilliant. Luckily this movie proved to be a high quality replica of the novel and amazed me. The acting is incredible and the directing was lovely, just like i pictured it while reading the novel. I recomend this movie to everybody, you will learn a lot!

Summary: One of the best films I have seen
Review: This film is a wonderful interpretation of Steinbeck's novel, and one of the best films I have ever seen. Gary Sinise and John Malkevich are brilliant. The direction is wonderful too, with Malkevich appearing larger than life. This film is powerful and Steinbeck would have been proud. END

Summary: Of Rabbits and Movies
Review: I put off watching this movie for many years. I figured, what was the point? I had read the book "Of Mice and Men", watched earlier movie versions and seen it performed on stage. Why sit through yet another version? Finally one day at the video rental store I decided to take a chance and rent it. I am very, very glad I did.

So why sit through another version? Because it is extremely well done. Gary Sinise and John Malkovich are powerful in the leads, Sherilyn Fenn has never been more appealing and Ray Walston will break your heart.

This is just plain good storytelling and good movie making. I guess like Lennie never getting tired of hearing George talk about the rabbits, I'll never get tired of seeing a good version of this classic story.
