Summary: I didnt know that Cameron Diaz has such beautiful legs!!!
Review: P>Its no surprise that this movie is another one of those "Love-it-or-hate-it" movies. The amount of time spent tolerating the sometimes confusing (but amazing and interesting nonetheless) parts of the show can either leave the viewer exhilerated at the end, or leave him/her totally pissed off. It is very difficult to fall somewhere in the middle after committing a good 2 hours watching the show. It somewhat qualifies as an intellectual film. Come get some more.

Story is about a CEO of some big publishing company (cruize) getting torn between 2 beautiful girls (cruz & diaz) (pardon the Zs), between his life, his lucid(!) dreams, love, hope, and getting himself confused some more.

The opening really caught my attention; I almost gawked - it was really utterly cool.

As luck would have it my mom came in right at the scene where Cruise has intercourse with a feisty (either cruz or diaz); and at first she thought it was some dirty porn show, but i think she gathered that even that scene ooze too much of class to be simply some loin fodder.

Throughout the movie I must really commend Cameron Crowe's spectacular use of music. It does take excellent soundtrack to make an already great film a superlative piece of work. (I think i'm frothing a little)

As the movie ended it felt so thoroughly satisfying...

*Potential Spoilers*
I like these kinda psycho shows, a la Fight Club or Memento.
The sci-fi part of the show seems a little incongruent with the show though.
*/potential spoilers*

The soundtrack is super-stellar... Take note that there are 41 songs that are actually used in the movie, whereas the soundtrack only has 17 in it. Go check for the songs over the internet (try vanilla sky's soundtrack customer reviews), and buy their respective albums; or, alternatively, download them and risk Eminem BR>The soundtrack easily unseated Fight Club, Meet Joe Black, American Beauty and Fifth Element soundtracks as my most favorite soundtrack of all time.

Please catch this film. Don't blame me if you don't like it though...

Summary: THE BEST FILM IN MANY, MANY YEARS!
Review: This film is similar to The Sixth Sense in that it all comes together in the end. The acting is superb and after watching it a second time, I loved it even more.

Summary: I must say WOW!!!
Review: This movie is an incredible masterpiece. It makes you really think about how much as a society, we value looks, and money. Basically it tells us that, we base just about everything on looks, and money, or what we own. We don't really look for the real person, we don't even care about people. We use them, for our gain. The movie has a lot of meanings that should be taken to heart. JUST SEE IT! YOU'LL KNOW WHAT I MEAN!

Summary: vanilla sky
Review: All I can say about Vanilla Sky is that if you get the urge to buy or rent this film, beat yourself in the head with a 2X4 instead--it's a lot quicker and less painful than watching this film.

Summary: GREAT movie!
Review: Okay, many people aren't going to like this movie, but those people are probably the ones who go to movies ONLY to be entertained by one-liners and made-for-teen plotlines. But the movie enthusiast who likes to be intrigued by films will love this one! It's a little confusing during the first watch, but by the time the viewer gets to the end, he realizes that a second watch is essential! It's a great flick! I also found that watching the version on the DVD that has the director's comments along with the film really were quite interesting.

Summary: Insulting to Good Film-making
Review: Vanilla Sky, the worst movie in my recent memory, can be described in two words: pretentious and tedious. While at times visually stimulating (especially the Cruise/Diaz sex-scene... hilarious, hence the 2 stars, not 1) this film uses too many one-liners, dramatic and pretentious moments, and try-to-be-artsy gimmicks to trick viewers into believing there is some substance.

Repeated phrases like "I'll tell you in another life when we are both cats" are useless, meaningless sentences veiled in a mask of intelligence, when they are anything but intelligent or insightful. The point of one-liners like this (there are MANY) is to pretend that there is an intellectual purpose of the movie, building the film up to a point where it just seems ridiculous, and you feel like laughing out loud.

Contrary to what some might say, there is nothing new about this movie, nothing groundbreaking, and nothing worthy of noting... besides its feeble attempt towards the end to make it a science-fiction movie, with special effects and all.

Meandering through a bunch of tedious plot twists also got excessively dull, as the makers tried to fool its audience repeatedly, saying "ha ha! you were thinking THIS was going to happen! silly audience..." much the same way as Mission Impossible: 2 did, with the cheap trickery of masks, an easy way to twist the plot and trick the audience.

Basically, the movie constantly pounds you over the head time after time after time with high-sounding phrases and annoying surprises so much that in the end, you think that the building up was for something interesting or new, but in fact, you were just being set up for nothing but a complete waste of your time. Those who bought into the foolery thought it was a great movie. Those who saw through it, didn't.

Summary: FATAL ATTRACTION ? get real . . .
Review: If a movie has me thinking about it the whole next day, as VANILLA SKY did, it's destined to become one of my favorites as I watch it again. I must admit that it amuses me to think about all the fans of Cruise's action flicks who had to be completely confused and disappointed by this thought-provoking film ... add this to the long list of his classic work.

Summary: An amazing movie of epic proportions...
Review: WOW. All I can say about this movie is WOW. It may not be the most original movie, it may not have the best acting, but damn was it good. This is the first movie in a while that has really made me sit down and think. There are some creepy parts of the movie and some parts that could have been better, but alltogether, it totally and completely rocked. Buy it today and you won't regret it.

Summary: HUH????????????????????????????
Review: I went over to visit a few friends this past saturday and before I went over I went to the video store and picked up Vanilla Sky. What a mistake! everybody that watched the movie were baffled and confused, we spend most of our time asking questions trying to grasp some kind of understanding. It was eerie and distasteful. All I can say to the producers is...............HUH?
