Summary: WHO FLEW OVER THE COO-COO'S NEST?"
Review: Is she insane or just a spoiled brat? Placed in a mental institution, we watch Wynona Ryder weave her way through a bevy of unstable peers. Some in for life, and some waiting for release back into the "normal?" world. The film is alternately dark, brooding, sinister and redeeming, almost uplifting as our heroine (Wynonna) finds her courage and her sanity. Whoopi Goldberg is excellent as the all- knowing nurse. Watch the sparks fly between these two pros. A capable cast makes this film believable. If you liked "Dead Poets Society" or even the ancient, "Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte", you may enjoy this film. I did.

Summary: I liked it.....
Review: I liked this movie. It wasent my favorites but I think Winona Ryder did a great job. Angelina Jolie was good as well but I dont think she compared to Winona Ryder. In my opinion the movie was a little dull but worth a watch.

Summary: Disfunctional World
Review: The movie has a real, thoughtful plot, which is not an everyday occurrence in Hollywood. I liked it, because it tells a compelling story of real people, whose life brings them face to face with the realization that the real world is essentially disfunctional, and that the so-called "mental" people are just as part of this world, and in some respect more sane than the mainstream. Angelina Jolie rules. I would buy this one without hesitation.

Summary: Mad in a good way
Review: At the same time that her contemporaries were heading off to college in 1967, 18-year-old Susanna Kaysen (Ryder) was signing herself into a psychiatric hospital after trying to cure a headache by downing a bottle of aspirin with a vodka chaser. Done that, bin there, one might say.

Girl, Interruptedis based on a 1993 memoir of the same name by Kaysen about her years of living madly. The film heads into manic overdrive toward the end but is for the most part a well-acted, sensitive portrait of a troubled young woman's journey back to emotional well-being. In a role that makes perfect use of her edgy fragility, Ryder registers more strongly than she has in recent films. As a psychopathic pal, Jolie (The Bone Collector) again proves mesmerizing, while Goldberg nicely underplays her role as a sympathetic supervisor.

Summary: Long but a good movie.
Review: Winona Ryder gives an very fine performance as Susanna Kaysen, a 18 year old teenager, enrolls herself in a mental institution to better the problems, she has been thought. Then she meets all the trouble young and older female in the ward but she fascinate by the resident bad-girl sociapath named Lisa(Strongly played by Angelina Jolie) gives her a new life and a strange friendship with mental patient but Lisa has more problems than any of woman there. James Mangold did well directing the film and a well writing screenplay by Suzanne Grant(Erin Brockovich, 28 Days). Also Whoopi Goldberg as the nurse valerie does gives one of her best roles. The film has a flew flaws is a bit long, Ryder is a bit unconvincing as a teenager but still well acted drama. Grade:A-.

Summary: Overall a dull film
Review: Within five minutes of this movie I realized I had seen the whole thing. But I continued watching due to a demand from the woman on my arm. As a screenplay writer I guess I can gain a very different perspective on this movie than she can, it can be summed up in two words. 1.) Dull. 2.) Predictable The plot is definately substandard, hence the review thats below even an average 3 stars. Silly lines that I could say with Ryder's character as she said them like when shes confronted with the fact that she had a whole bottle of liquor and an entire bottle of aspirin, "I had a headache." More like you used to have an excellent acting career, and now you're only making headaches. The movie actually seemed to end several times. After I had watched an hour and a half there was an actual conclusion to the movie, but then it seemed to start up again from about the middle of the plot, and this happened again fifteen minutes later. This film really isn't worth viewing, let alone buying.

Summary: INcredably Shallow Film
Review: I thought this film was really pathetic, sorry to all you that found it utterly breathtaking, but it's so superficial. it also seamed far too predictable. I remember as me and my friend were watching it, we had earlier talked about these films that come out these days that have no real point, other than to throw a bunch of popular actors and actresses together. So as the movie progressed my friend said that she sensed there would be some sort of teenie-bopper. I was stunned, said, "wait?" She said, yeah, like someone from clueless. just then we are entering the hospital, going down the hall, and whats her chick from clueless shows up.(i'm not sorry that i don't know her name) Angelina Jolie especially seamed to show how superficial this show was. Her performance i found very fake. just because someones playing an insane person doesn't mean they can be a bad actor and hide behind the insanity. oh well. If you want a film that shows some real sense of insanity, check out Woman Under the Influence or Shock Corridor (campy, but cool) Or check out Peter Greenaway or Pier Paolo Pasolini or Godard or something with depth. Anyway, ,enough of my ignorancce and yours

Summary: Awesome
Review: This movie has got to be one of the coolest movies ever. I have watched it at least ten times within the past week and I keep going back to rent it it is so good. Although some people don't like it as they think the way they portay certain things in the movie as not correct, I still think it is a must-see movie. It is about a girl who gets put in a mental institution very confused and comes out balanced. I think it gives hope to those out there who suffer some of these diseases because they know that someone out there thought it was important enough to make a movie about this. I really suggest you watch this and maybe a couple times cause I mean I watch it and I see something new every time. I cannot wait for it to come out on video to buy cause I will be one of the first.

Summary: Wonderful.
Review: This movie was good. I was wondering about it at first, but I really enjoyed it. The bond that these women form is great. Angeline and Wyonna really did a excellent job of acting. The directing was good also. Now my girl Whoopie was the mover in this story, she really kept up with everything all the way to the end. If you are wondering about this story, then wonder no more it is awesome.
