Summary: My favorite movie!
Review: I own this movie on VHS and when my mom asked to watch it, I kindly told her it wasn't a movie she'd probably want to see. Full of lies, deception and most of all, seduction, Cruel Intentions is a story crafted around Sebastian Valmont and his stepsister Kathryn's plan to devirginize the new stepmaster's daughter and corrupt an innocent new student who is unknowingly stealing Kathryn's ex-boyfriend. Although it's commonly labeled a drama, there are comedic elements thrown in and with all the beautiful actors and actresses in it, how could you not want to watch this?

Review: ...P>"Cruel Intentions" revolves around the lives to of a step brother and sister, Katherine and Sebatian (Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ryan Phillipe), who revel in the cruelty of messing up people's lives. The boredom of their high society lifestyle causes them to play with the minds and hearts of innocent people they claim to like. Everything falls apart when Sebatian actually falls in love with one of his conquests.This story is full of sex, betrayal, love, and deceit. It is one that you will be captivated by instantly. The film is also supported by an incredible soundtrack that goes along perfectly with the many moods and emotions exhibited in it. The ending will also have you laughing to yourself as one of the conspirators gets their comeuppance. I would highly suggest watching this movie! You won't be disappointed!!!

Summary: a work of art!
Review: What a fantastic film! As dark as it may be, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillipe (hottie!), and Selma Blair are phenomenal in this twisted...well, I'm not sure what you'd call it. It's pretty funny in the beginning, but gets thrilling in the end. The only bad thing about this movie would have to be it's ending. First a crucial character is...erm...well something bad happens to them, and then Sebastian gets revenge on Catherine. Then it just ends. I mean, you never see what happened to Catherine or Annette! You find out what happens to Sebastian, but not to the two (or three, if you include Ceccile (Selma Blair) female characters. Just don't let young children see this movie, because I think that it gives a message saying "Doing it is okay, it's all fun and games." Although the two evil characters do get revenge in the end. An added bonus of this movie would be a scene in which you see Ryan Phillipe's butt. Phillipe and Witherspoon have fantastic chemistry together, which would make sense seeing as they are now married and are expecting their second child. But everyone plays their characters well. Catherine is pure evil, Sebastian is also evil at first but softens, Annette is good-girl, and Ceccile is seriously naive and innocent. A great buy - purchase this movie!

Summary: Intentionaly a good film
Review: This is one of my favorite movies of all time so far.
To have such names and talent that this film had was really refreshing. I originally only watch it 'cause of SMG(Big Fan)
And when I started watching it, and not quite her as much, I really enjoyed it! For Sarah Gellar more comonly known as "Buffy, from Buffy:The vampire Slayer" and as a good-girl role and to stretch into such an uber-bad girl role was really good. I actually believed her! I knew that she was better than Pam Anderson(thank God!!) (You know, it doesn't take much to be better than her) Just the acting itself is amazing. I meen C'mon
Reese Whitherspoon,Ryan Phillippe,Swoozie Kurtz, Tara Ried,Sean Patrick Thomas,Selma Blair! The stars alone make "Cruel Intentions" a great film. So hands down, BUY THIS MOVIE!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!

Review: As most would know 'Cruel Intentions' is a modern update of Dangerous Liasons, a decent movie that wasn't exactly calling for a remake (although what movie ever is...). As far as I can tell, this movie is about eye candy, promiscuity, and not much else. Any sort of message that may be present is drowned under layers of eyeliner and suggestive dialogue. Not that this is always a bad thing, but a movie generally needs more to stand on. Unfortunately, this movie lacks any sort of depth. Then there's the acting. Ryan Phillippe characteristically brought down the movie from the inside, although he did almost give the hint of acting range in a scene or two, possibly by mistake. Sarah Michelle Gellar did her thing, proving once again that she is by far the most talented actess of our generation who often gives listless performances without a trace of nuance.
By comparison, Reese Witherspoon stole the show by playing the only tolerable character. Of course, this character had the spine of an amoeba. Remind me to never write an essay on my value system. Good times! So why did I give it two stars? Easy. The Counting Crows song 'Colorblind' is on the soundtrack. That's right, half of the rating comes directly from the inclusion of a song on the movie's soundtrack. So to sum things up: infinite monkeys infinite time infinite typewriters works of shakespere blah blah blah..

Review: Don't listen to people who say this movie is strange or something like that. It is a masterpiece and the Soundtrack/Original motion picture score is one of the best I have ever heard. Great Ryan Phillipe and Sarah Michelle Gellar!

Summary: good psychological movie, great quality
Review: I love it. What else to say ? Annette is a loveable character and remarkably played by Reese Witherspoon; as to the ugly couple/brother-and-sister Kathryn/Sebastian, they are really unpleasant from start to finish, so the end of the movie is really a happy relief; meanwhile poor Cecile is manipulated a lot by these two characters. Altogether it is a good movie if you are interested in psychology and close-knit relationships.
