Review: THERE WERE MANY THINGS ABOUT THIS MOVIE THAT MAKE IT AN EXCELLENT FILM. FIRST, THE ACTORS WERE VERY WELL CHOSEN, AND PLAYED THEIR PARTS WELL. SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR PLAYED THE PERFET MASTERMIND "VILLAIN" WHO LIKED NOTHING MORE THAN TO SEE OTHERS SUFFER. RYAN PHILIPE AND REESE WITHERSPOON DID A GREAT JOB PLAYING THE TWO "PAWNS" IN CATHERINE'S CRUEL INTENTIONS. THE STORY WAS GREAT AS WELL AND DELIVERED AN EXCITING, INTELIGENT AND SUSPENSEFUL PLOT. THIS FILM WILL MAKE YOU THINK. IF YOU ARE IN THE MOOD FOR A GOOD FILM, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND CRUEL INTENTIONS, IT'S CLASSIC!

Summary: Disappointing.............
Review: This could have been so much better if they had cast the right actress to play the part of Kathryn. Sarah Michelle Gellar ("cool" as she may be), certainly was not able to pull off this part. She came across as a 12 year old stealing a sip of champagne from 'mommy's glass'. Ryan's character came alive during the scenes between him and the ever brilliant Reese Witherspoon (who I might add, was the only actress and character worth caring about). Selma Blair just irritated as the 'naive' and downright pathetic Cecile. The 'kiss' between her and Ms. Gellar was completely pointless and had zero relevance to the actual plot (guess the far superior 'Wild Things' was the inspiration - huh?) Sarah may 'kick' as Buffy, but as Kathryn she limps. I've seen better.

Summary: It just wasen't a GREAT movie
Review: It looks great style wise but for me it lacks substance. It simply can't escape being measured up to Dangerous Liasions, the version with John malkivich, which was the best version of the story I've seen. Cruel intentions fails because it lacks the any kind of emotional intensity in the actors. In the films favour the reworking of the story and the relocating it to New York does work very well, the acting from the leads was good. However the real weaknesss is the script, its good to a point but the ending was plain pathetic, the end left me cold I really didn't care about the charecters, I liked them, I'll admit I loved their cruelty but any shread of emotion come the end of the film feels fake. The film just ended it didn't make me feel anything for the charecters, I didn't love or hate them. The ending of the film just felt lame. It wasen't exciting or tragic because I felt nothing for the key players.

Summary: Sexy movie that reveals todays teenage-life
Review: I saw this movie on a cinema in Sweden, and I think it is great! It perfectly tells how the teenages live today with drugs, sex and betrayal. The beautiful Sarah Michelle Gellar makes a stunning performance as usual as Kathryn, and Ryan Phillippe is not far behind as Sebastian. Actually, the whole cast shines with performances above the usual. This movie is a must-see for especially teenagers, but I think everybody should see this amazingly great movie, even though it is a bit controversial with sometimes coarse language, but as told, this is the way we teenagers live today, take it or leave it!

Summary: Hip masterpiece
Review: I am absolutely in love with this movie. Usually I am very critical of teen movies but this one has a mesmerising quality that goes beyond pretty faces and fad clothing. It took me a while to understand why and now, after watching it for a third time I think I know what it is. Granted the director, actors and set stylists did a great job in creating a film of delightfully surprising substance but it is the combination of intelligence, wit and perfect comic timing that makes the age old marriage between lust and betrayal stand head and shoulders above similarly themed films. Dangerous Liaisons is a beautiful retelling of the original novel but Cruel Intentions is the most entertaining adaptation and unsurpassably chic in its inventiveness.

Review: This was an amazing video. An awesome collection of talented and really funny people. I loved it I saw it in the theatres and I was not bored for a second. It's funny and awesome you should see it!!!

Review: This movie is the best ever! This is my favorite movie!!! Sarah Michelle Gellar did such a good job. I thought that Selma Blair (Cecile) was so funny and cute. I LOVE RYAN! he did the best! ryan is hottest guy alive. i love him and the movie!

Review: I saw it three times (!) and it looks better everytime. Ryan Phillype is great and smg is incredible. Everything is good in it. I am sad there is no deleted scenes on the DVD.
