Summary: Slick, Witty and a Kickin' Soundtrack.
Review: Possibly one of the best films aimed at the younger audience for a long while. The script is intelligent, as is the plot (in a shallow sort of way) and the actors are fantastic. Sebastian (Ryan Phillipe) and Catheryn (S. M. Geller) Valmont share the finest student accomodation ever while they 'matriculate' at a high class university. The arrival of the new principle heralds the arrival of his chaste daughter. Sebastian, tired of bedding 'insipid manhatten debutants' see's this as his greatest potential victory. 'Bedding the new principles daughter before term's started....' The hour that follows contains the greatests one liners, insults and unusual outfits (in the case of Geller)of any recent production I've seen. The final half hour suddenly takes itself a lot more seriously than the rest of the film, but is a strong ending with Sebastian taking revenge on his scheming half-sister from beyond the grave. Still the high point of Cruel intentions for me was the soundtrack. From the starting sequence with Placebo pounding out "Every me, Every you", to Blur "Coffee and T.v", Counting crows, Skunk Anansee, Fat boy slim, Faithless and a host of other great tracks there is never a dull moment. So between music and picture this is a flick that should be enjoyable to all.

Summary: Cruel Intentions :)
Review: This is probably the best movie I have ever seen in my life. I highly reccomend it. Ryan Philapee plays a stepbrother Sabastion who makes a bet with Katherin (Sarah Michelle Gellar) Joshua Jackson is probably the best actor in this movie playing a gay freind. If you like sex, cruelty, and a good plot. This is the movie for you. I watch it every day, i own it on dvd. Dont get it on video get it on DVD because it has lots and lots of bonus material.

Summary: Great drama....
Review: with acceptable acting. Cruel Intentions offers a very interesting plot with popular actors. You'll constantly be thinking "what next." Very good overrall; could have done without the gay sex, though.

Review: If you consider yourself a true "BUFFY FAN" you got to buy this tape. "BUFFY, BUFFY, BUFFY" If you are not a "BUFFY FAN" you got to buy this tape. Great acting. Great Plot. Great ending. Two hours of great entertainment.

Summary: Cruel, touching
Review: Delightfully cruel comedy about the sexual conquests of young and world-weary upper class machiavellians. Amazingly, the sadistic, witty first half of this movie is perfectly matched by an intelligent, touching ending. (No, it's not sentimental - just moral.) Watch this movie!

Summary: The Perfect Plot, and the Perfect Ending For All You Critics
Review: Regardless of everyone who left the actors in this film with a bad taste in it's mouth, I beg to differ. The plot explained itself, and, even with the fact of being pointless at times, let the viewers see just how evil Sebastian and Kathryn are. I feel that most critics are missing the point that Roger Kumble was getting across. The point was (oblivious as this is to Kumble or not) is that true love will change a person, and also the faith of love. Every time that Sebastian tried to become emotionally attached to Annette, something happened to keep them apart: Kathryn threatening his reputation, Sebastian and the horrible accident. Somehow the point gets across that Sebastian isn't really so evil. Sebastian is really kind at heart, but is so tempted away by Kathryn, that he is unable to avert himself to being kind and generous. It takes a person he really loves to realize just how evil Kathry really is, and thinks of pulling away from Kathryn's ways, and having a better life with Annette. Revenge is bitter sweet though, even if you have to die to get it. I find the movies ending was justified, and that the rest of the movie kept the audience attentive.

Summary: One of the best movies I've seen in a long time
Review: I believe that this movie is ahead of its time, and that's why it has had such mixed reviews. I have not been captured by characters like this in a long time. It's also a clever adaption of the novel if you've read it before like me. Amoral people are the most interesting people to watch and no one is more amoral than Kathryn and Sebastian.

Summary: This is my favorite movie!
Review: I thought this movie was brilliant. Yes it's a little sinful and evil, but it keeps your attention throughout the whole movie! My favorite part is the love scene between Annette and Sebastian, it's love without a doubt and in the car ride, she makes him laugh...all too adorable. Even though the ending isn't a fairy tale, it's life and life doesn't always have a perfect ending, but awww, there is justice. Best movie, if you haven't seen it...what the hell's wrong with you, go see it! Absolutely LOVE IT!

Summary: Only Good if You Suffer From Insomnia
Review: Stay away unless you like your movies boring. This waste of celluloid plods along without ever really displaying any of the passion that is promised in its previews/trailers. Recommended only for those who have trouble sleeping at night.
