Summary: Big Disappointment
Review: Only a Tremors die hard would love this. It is way too talky, has little action and sorely misses the charm of Fred Ward to save it. I really like the Bert Gummer character but this wasn't him! I don't think the treatment adds to the Tremors legacy as there is no discussion of their source or anything like that. Guess this is because of the setting and that it depicts "dumb" cowboys and settlers. Definately worth a look if you like the series but to me the very least of the Tremor's legacy.

Summary: Tremors Returns to glory.
Review: People may say that "real" Tremors fans hate this moive. They're
wrong, it is just as good as the second and better than the first, plus it's a great buy with the original Tremors.

Summary: tremble at the thought
Review: The fact that this comes with Tremors 1 makes it an excellent buy. The original Tremors is something of a cult classic, one of the best monster horror/comedy films that you don't have to be 17 to watch. Excellent material and very fun. The series slowly went downhill after that. But, with Tremors 4, we go back to the beginning, outdo the pathetic Tremors 3, and show that the franchise still has some life left. But while this prequel does a good job of setting the scene, it doesn't have the same appeal. It doesn't have the same heart-throbbing quickness of the first. The show starts off on a strong note, then teeters out. Overall, mediocre, but like I said before, having Tremors 1 with it makes it all the more better.

Summary: Tremors 4(2004 Horror) PG-13
Review: The Tremors series is either something one loves or hates; I doubt there is much middle ground. I feel Tremors (the first) is the best, and this prequel is a worthy addition. Staring Michael Gross as Bert's either grandfather or great grandfather was terrific. And so is the women playing what would become the Gross-Reba role in the first movie. As Hiram evolved from the east coast Dandy to a more take charge person, it was done with affection and keeping in character. There are not blow your mind special effects, just competent and fun special effects. This is a movie more about the characters and the unknowns (worms) and their interactions. Black Hand Kelly is a great role in this movie and there is just enough homages to the first movie to make a good link. Perhaps less tongue in cheek and fewer laughable quips, but the pace is brisk and entertaining. I really loved the ending scene. This is a must addition to fans of this franchise, and holds the promise of more movies in this series. Set in the silver mine town of Rejection, Nevada, which becomes Perfection, Nevada in movie #1. If you like sci-fi without the multi million dollar effects, you will like this movie.

Summary: Big Fun
Review: This film is pure fun and you can feel it in every scene.
Tremors 4 looks backwards at the origins of the town of Perfection and the Graboids. In making this a prequel, everything old is new again. We get the excitement of discovery all over again and we get to see the townsfolk REALLY scared.
For horror/action fans, this film is a real treat. Without a mega-budget, we're treated to innovative and exciting effects. Tremors 4 is a nod to the great horror and adventure films of he past. It's obvious how much passion the cast and crew put into this.
I'm a big fan of "Buffy," so I love the way this story blends humor, scares, action and the mythology of past films. If you've seen the other films, there are a ton of jokes and reference that you'll love here.
Tremors 4 is great entertainment for any monster fan.

Summary: Tremors 4 - The Legend Begins
Review: This is one of the worst films that i have ever seen. It does not even come close to the class of the 3rd one, never mind the 1st.

The first hour went by and i could have easily been mistaken that this was not a tremors film, with hardly no graboid action at all. Michael Gross, as Hiram, is a total plank, nothing like the Bert we all know and love.

I have just thrown this dvd into the bin and good riddens.

Summary: A great prequel
Review: This is the fourth entalshment in series. In you loved tremors true this sequel combines scifi with a western. A lot better than the last scifi western I saw which was wild wild West andf Okey Film. In tremors 2 you had the shreker in tremors 3 you had the ashblasters. Tremors 4 arrived a fourth stage of the graboid.

It called the dirt dragon it is the infite form of the Graboid is about 3 feet long. Other than Michel gross none of the charters from the previous movie are in it. It takes place in 1880 in Refrection Nevada. It is the same towm from the first three just a different name. If you will enjoy this I recomend the other three tremors and the critters series.

Summary: Should be called "Tremors 4: The Franchise is Ruined"
Review: This movie is really boring. I couldn't even finish it.

The first hour goes by and nothing happens but bickering among the characters about this and that and where to camp and what advice to give a child and how to shoot straight and a bunch of other things that don't develop the plot at all. A whole scene is wasted on a funeral for a character we never even knew when he was alive.

The first three Tremors flicks were good. The first one was superb, the second was pretty good, and the third one was still a good time even if it left something to be desired. This fourth one stinks so bad I can't believe it's even part of the franchise. It plods along like a really bad made-for-TV flick, and the thin budget is evident throughout. My mind kept wandering while I waited for something to happen.

The graboids hardly put in any appearances and when they do, it's in the dark so we can't see them. I don't think these people had any money for even minimal special effects.

Don't waste your money. If you have movies 1-3, leave it at that and leave this one alone. It's a total turkey.

Summary: Back to the Basics -- No More CGI Worms!
Review: This set contains two movies, Tremors and Tremors 4 - The Legend Begins. I assume anyone buying this is familiar with the first movie where the small town of Perfection is beset by huge underground monsters dubbed Graboids.

In the first three films we were introduced to the three stages of Graboid physiology. In the fourth installment, we get to see what they look like soon after hatching. We also return to live-action worms and not the CGI that many complained about in the third movie.

The small town of Rejection is starting to boom as the local silver mine is very productive. But the mining disturbs something in the ground and the miners begin to disappear. Most of the town flees except a small handful. The mine's owner arrives, Mr. Gummer (again played by Michael Gross). This Gummer is different than his descendant in that he does not even own a gun.

Well, Gummer and the remaining residents set out to check the mine over and then get rid of the "dirt dragons" via a skilled gunslinger. In the end everyone must pull together to end the menace.

Some wonderful foreshadowing of the earlier movies. We see the development of the general store, Gummer's character, and other small bits. Quite fun and a welcome addition to the series although it takes a little getting used to not hearing the creatures referred to as Graboids.
