Summary: The Best Movie I've ever seen
Review: Simon Birch is without a doubt the best movie I've ever seen. I will never understand why it didn't do well at the movie theatre. Ian Michael Smith was an incredible actor. This movie really tore at my heart, it really had a message. God does have a plan for us, I've seen it 4 times and I still cry when I see it. I find myself quoting Simon. A must see for everyone

Summary: Suprisingly good
Review: I just watched Simon Birch in english class as a tie in for "To Kill A Mocking Bird". At first it was a little akward, but it got better as it progressed, and you really felt sympathy for Simon, Joe and Ben. I was really glad with the ending, although I thought the boy that played Jim Careys son was horrible. I also read the book over the summer and thought the book was a bit better. Over all, not the best movie I've seen, but still a good one! :)

Review: This movie moved me. It has not only drama but makes you feel good about human kind in the end. This movie teaches a lot of lessons not only to children but to adults. Everybody should watch this movie, learn from it & practice what ya learned in real life. You will love this movie.

Review: I love when I am surprised by how humorous a movie can be! I was prepared for a "paint by numbers tear jerker", but was delighted by the quirky humor included. The cocky straightforward way "Simon" carried off the dialog left me rolling on the floor. A great all around movie!

Review: How many movies that come out these days can we say have a moral to the story? Not many! However, Simon Birch most definitely does and it is entertaining to boot. The young actors are superb! This movie will make you laugh and cry, but what I say makes a movie good -- it makes you THINK! Doesn't God have a plan for EACH of us, no matter our position in life?

Summary: Prepared to dislike it; loved it instead.
Review: While I loved the book, I went into the movie expecing the worst. Since they halved Simon's life-expectancy, I thought they must have totally lost the central storyline. But I was wrong; they did a sensitive portrayal of a boy who believes he is chosen by God to do a specific mission and spends his life preparing for the mission. It made me both think and cry for days.

Review: I'm not real easy to please when it comes to movies. Most movies are just "all right" or "OK"...middle ground. Rarely, do I see one that I REALLY like... I really, really like Simon Birch! The first time I saw it was on video. I watched it 3 times in a row and then two days later watched it again. I'm starved for good movies and it's been years since I've seen one this good. With most movies, one viewing is usually good enough for me. I wish there were more movies like Simon Birch out there. The actor who plays Simon Birch is excellent! He will surely win your heart!
