Summary: The Best of '98
Review: I also love A Prayer For Owen Meany. But that doesn't mean you won't love this movie too. They're different but both wonderful in their own way. A CLASSIC.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: see it!!
Review: this is the best movie to come out in years why this film is far better than half of the other films out there it should of won an oscar. i love it!!!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: overrated
Review: This movie takes a great story (A Prayer for Owen Meany) and turns it into a horrible cliched melodrama. I recomend you read the wonderful John Irving novel instead of subjecting yourself to this virtually meaningless desecration.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best.
Review: Only, and i do mean ONLY, see this movie, if you love comedy, happines, hope, miracles, saddness, and friendship...all in one! Go see this movie, and tell me just what you thought!

Summary: Great movie
Review: Just watched today and wanted to say it's one of the better movies I watched this year. One of the most heart warming for sure. Jim Carrey's part in the movie was exceptional. Five stars!

Summary: A must-see for all children
Review: As a special eduation teacher within the high school, I recently showed "Simon Birch" to my 9th grade reading classes. There were few who did not rave about this movie, a touching tale of friendship, knowing one's self, and the theme of a "plan" or meaning to life. I showed it with the intent purpose of teaching acceptance of other's, despite our differences and to instill the idea in my students that each of us has a "plan" and purpose to living on this earth. A must-show for any teacher to instill life values. Humor and every imaginable emotion grabbed at the hearts of my kids.......don't MISS the value of this terrific movie......

Summary: The best movie I have ever seen
Review: Simon Birch touched me in such a big way. I couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks and I still cry whenever I think about it. I would love to meet Ian Michael Smith (Simon Birch). I just would love to meet him in real life. GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME!

Summary: A very touching, and moving piece of work
Review: Throughout Simon Birch it spread alot of sadness through the movie, but it did had some hilerious parts of the movie. There were great acting, and good story, the only thing that I didn't like was that they made to dramatic, too sad and and way to depressing. It's a tearjerker through the whole movie, and I'm sad to say that this movie almost could been perfect if it had a happy ending and not so lost into the darkness of sadness. But the movie does desrves credit, and splendid acting. Great movie! A- ****

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Too many cliches, right down to the predictable "cough"
Review: Saying anything negative about "Simon Birch" is like being against motherhood and apple pie; it's a sweet, positive movie that would be good for kids over 8 years old to watch (the "rough" language isn't anything 8 y.o.'s haven't heard before.) While I enjoyed the actors and the cinematography tremendously, the script was filled with too many cliches to give the movie real emotional impact. Predictablity is the death of good cinema and "Simon Birch" is about as predictable as they come. I'd recommend the widescreen version because of the location shots and the DVD transfer was good with no technical hiccups.
