Summary: Trevor is a Christ figure.
Review: Young Trevor offered the world a chance to love and forgive. He had followers and believed in good, that people could change if they had a chance. He was pierced in the side and died but only after he had made a difference. His message was basically, "Love one another." There's nothing "trite" about that theme, and Haley, so "old" for his years does an outstanding job of showing the audience what's inside Trevor's heart. Having had a challenging childhood, I know Trevor's insight is possible and believeable. I bought this movie in order to write a paper for a class called theology in films. I chose it because I heard again and again what a wonderful message it carried. Yea to the actors who had the integrity to know that this is a great piece and to the director who went forward. Having read the reviews, I am sorry that the professional editors missed the point.

Summary: Pay it Back
Review: Terrible Movie! Helen Hunt looks like a witch. Its awful, and sappy, and boring. Goes off in too many directions. Stupid ending. I liked the filming in Las Vegas-I've been thinking about moving there. That's all I got out of it.

Summary: Dont read this review if don't like spoilers!
Review: Over all a decent movie..i could really care about how many issues this movie takes on (something most of the other reviewers can't get past). The reason why i could care less...real life deals with all of these issues and this movie imitates real life. Also, the movie doesn't focus on all of these issues..it just brings them up. O.k. Anyways, good movie, interesting, not a waste of time, but the ending...ugggg. The little kid dies for gods sake! What is up with that? I absolutly hate it when the characters die out of the blue like that. It totally goes against the whole story..here is this little kid trying to do all these good things for people..and what does he get..he gets killed...o.k. so this movie imitates real life and good kids get killed in real life.. but i like most people..would not have watched this movie if i had known the manner and how quickly the kid dies. Urrrr..it makes me mad. Actors are good..and jon bon jovi shows up..decent actor.

Summary: Let down by the ending.
Review: Until the ending I had been thinking that this was a movie I could watch over and again. However .. the final scenes are a disaster and only served to steal back all my enjoyment from the earlier story. There is no point to this ending. A bit more thought and feeling for the audience would not have gone amiss. The overall idea is a good one. I would not have been surprised if the movie had inspired people to actually go out and do some good .. if the ending had not destroyed the feel good factor.
The saving grace is the wonderful performance by Haley Joel Osment. He is a genuine star who deserves Oscar recognition. In this movie he is at his best.
Worth watching for this young actor alone. But be prepared for the final let down.

Summary: Play it forward
Review: The idea of Pay it Forward follows the story of an elementary kid torn apart between a drunken mother, a non-existent father, and a sad social life. Then one day he gets this great idea to do a good turn to three people who will in turn do a good deed for three other people. The movie escalates from there. Well.... sort of. Actually, the concept of Pay it Forward gets all jumbled up in this kid's conquest to get his teacher to marry his mom. Yeah, that would work in any other run-of-the-mill love story, but Pay it Forward isn't about one on one love: it's about changing the world. By the end of the film, though, the true message finally bubbles and leaves the viewer with an odd sense of inspiration. This movie is very moving and something that just about everybody needs to see. However, good luck getting past the sappy side story. Yeesh.

Summary: Not as good as the book
Review: If you read the book first you may be a little dissapointed in the movie. It doesn't give you the same heartwarming rush. Still it is a good movie though.

Summary: draws you in and doesn't let go
Review: As soon as Kevin Spacey's character turns around and faces the camera, you know your in for an incredible movie. Pay it Forward delivers the goods. The emotion exuding from these three actors is timeless and believeable. The ending is unexpected. All three actors deserve academy awards. This movie is truly a 5 star classic!

Summary: Put It Back!
Review: An interesting premise goes south quickly in this stinker. I like Spacey and Osment, but I feel that Helen Hunt is way overrated. Every cliche in the book is trotted out here and the predictable heartstring-tugging is unbearable. I didn't cry, sniffle, or feel otherwise emotionally moved by this film, other than to switch it off at the end feeling cheated. Do yourself a favor and watch "Life is Beautiful" instead.

Summary: Pay It Back !
Review: Me and My freinds were looking for a decent film to watch after
Dinner and a walk. So we rented Pay it Foward.
UUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGHH! The pain was unbeleivable.
I had great misfortune wachting this terrible movie. It was confusing before and the end is unbelivably sloppy. Spend your time with better movies like "Princess Diaries"and"Mission:Impossible"
