Summary: A beautiful movie of love, passion, wit and integity.
Review: I love this movie. It is a story of a beautiful, passionate, intelligent woman who loves a man she cannot marry. She is a strong person who does what she must to live in the time and place she was born. Her intelligence, passion and fighting spirit are an inspiration to me as is the love between her and Marcos. Without him and his love she would not have survived. It is a story of what authentic love between a man and a woman can do. She is a person of integrity in her own right and so is the man she loves. I think it is a wonderful film for both men and women.

Summary: Sensuously Passionate Performance by Catherine McCormick
Review: After seeing this movie on one of those cable-tv stations, I immediately went to the local video store intending to rent it and view it again. I was lucky to find it on sale and purchased it - I have viewed it at least 6 times since, and plan to watch it again and again. The protrayal of this woman Veronica Franco was absolutely stunning; Catherine McCormick outdid herself here, and Jaqueline Bisset proves that age only refines beauty. The plot may have faltered a bit at the end, but the passion between Veronica and Marco remained a constant throughout. I highly recommend this movie -- you may need some tissues, as I did for some scenes. My only complaint: the cousin of Marco, who becomes a monsignor for the inquisition? A little too hollywood, but nonetheless a superb movie.

Summary: One of the best comedy/dramas of the year!
Review: This movie has it all - comedy, drama, tension, romance, suspense... Everything about the movie is wonderful -- the story, dialogue, acting, cinematography, costumes... Both men and women will love it - Catherine McCormack is one of the most under-rated actresses and deserved an oscar nomination!

Summary: Incredible! Don't miss it!
Review: This movie is enchanting and deserves to be more widely known. I had the hardest time trying to find it, but it was worth it. Superb acting and an incredibly strong storyline. Missing this movie should be illegal!

Summary: I liked it!
Review: This was one of those movies that suprised me - I was expecting less. It is well worth anyone's time to watch it. Normally I wouldn't have rated this a '5', I would have rated it a '4'. However, I had to try and offset the 'ridiculous' '1' rating it was given by another, to give it a more realistic overall rating.

Summary: ridiculous
Review: With a star this beautiful, how could they make such a bad film? This is one of the most ridiculous, pointless, tedious and, ultimately, insulting films I've ever seen. There is, quite literally, nothing to see here. Move on.

Summary: Love never dies, and neither will this film
Review: This film is my all time favorite. A truly commendable work. Beauty of the soul cannot be existinguished. I believe it is sincerely unfair that this film wasnt more widely promoted. It should be enjoyed and remembered by all. My recommendation: WATCH IT! I PROMISE YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED!

Summary: Salvation in Poetry
Review: Catherine McCormack is by far the most sensational actress to ever be so unrecognized. The most amazing thing about her is elegance and vocal expression surpass her beauty, even though she is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. There are many ways one could approach convincing another to watch this miraculous work of art, but the most important reason for anyone to see this movie is that it fully demonstrates how little actual beauty has to do with physical appearance. Adieu.
