Review: Catherine McCormick was excellent as Veronica Franco. The sets and costumes gave you the feeling of being right there watching every moment as it happened. The dialogue was rich. This movie was a true romance, and what is better is that it is true.

Review: I read many reviews from critics that thought this movie was just another form of a romance novel. These people are called realists. The story is based on a person named Veronica Franco and she was a poet. The critics will call her a whore. She was a courtesan ( high-class prostitute ), but only out of need. She was a poet out of want, and this movie conveys this bueatifully. The true story is that Veronica's life was most probably closer to what the realist critic would say the movie fails to portray, but what counts is the romantic dream she took life for. Thats why I go to the movies anyway.

Review: what can i say this is my very favorite. It has meaning, heart, and gives inspiration. The movie is truly beautiful. The cinematography is breathtaking. I have never experienced a movie such as this. Everything about this movie fits together so elegantly. It should get six stars!!!

Review: This is an incredible movie, that I highly recommend. Not only does it contain romance, but comedy, drama, and a lot of history. Each actor and actress played their parts exceptionally well. This is a must see for any hopeless romantic!!!!!!!!

Review: I saw this movie, out of total curiousity and the fact it had Catherine McCormack who had a brief yet tactful and rich role in Braveheart. This movie was horrific and a complete waste to spend money on to rent. I am utterly confused how being a whore could make someone love you more. This was obviously a "chick flick" and lacked in everything a movie should be.

Review: I enjoyed this film very much, and echo what I have read in other reviews, that the critics (if that's what we want to call them) underrated it. I feel that Catherine McCormack's acting is very rich, (and in other films as well) and I loved the fact that the script was based on a true story. I am going to make it a part of my collection!!

Review: Stunning, both visually & musically - a feast for the eyes and ears. Set in an extraordinary city "state" - Beautiful photography, music, and cast. Having been based on a true story made the experience of its viewing that much more enjoyable, and gave me a greater appreciation for screen writers and their imaginations.

Review: This is completely escapist fare -- perfect for unwinding after a long day at work and just watching a well photographed period piece. This film is not for those looking for a "deep meaning" -- it's just a fun movie. Catherine McCormack's acting is superb as always and she makes this movie worth watching. The film is cheesy -- like Velveeta -- but what a way to spend an evening.

Review: i lýked ýt. and at the end ý was effected.Also at fýrst ý dýdnt expect such an end lýke ýt but when it finished i was really effected. I felt different things when ý left there.And ý suggested everybody (that i know )to see it.
