Summary: Astonishing Acting
Review: This is definately one of Russels best acting. It is more than sure that Russel did something that is unique so I think that he is going to get his second academy award, he deserves it.P>Dr.Nash did(is) not see(ing) things. He heard(s) things. Its a state of the ultimate imagination that he possesses. Sometimes the imagination is so big that crosses the line and gets dillusional.

His thesis title is "Non-Competitive games" and I think that the movie is propably correct showin that his work was inspired by Adam Smith in his work on the "Wealth of Nations" which stated that a nation works best when every individual works for his own benefit. I think that the scene in the bar where Russel points out Nash inspiration by explaining why they(he and his friends) should not work competitive to gain a girl is amazing.

Also some other thins are not so acurate but they are kind of more personal and I don't want to mention them. You can find his biography in the net as I did.
Returning to the movie I must mention that the atmosphere of the movie was very realistic.

Also the scene where Nash received his Nobel prize reminded casting equivalent to giants of cinema, so this is the magnitude of acting we are talking here...Russel was Nash!

Summary: Not the true story
Review: I was disappointed that this movie did not tell the full story of John Nash. I read the biography, and it is so completely different than the movie. The film did give a realistic interpretation of mental illness, but it strayed from the facts too much for me. I did love Russell Crowe's performance, and he deserves the recognition that he is receiving for his acting performance. I just wish the script would have been more true to the facts.

Summary: A well-crafted film
Review: ...A BEAUTIFUL MIND is really a fine film, well put-together and a riveting narrative. It's detractors have criticized it for not being true to Nash's real life... WHO CARES!!!? The film, as presented, is as good as I've seen in a long time. Certainly, there were things in this complicated man's life that had to be left out for the sake of narrative. Some sensation-seekers are upset because his homosexuality wasn't addressed, though I thought the relationship with his roommate was more than platonic...I don't want to give away any plot points...and besides that...WHO CARES!!? I enjoyed the film, as presented... I really liked James Horner's score. It was exceptionally pretty. The score presented Nash's moods as much as Russell did...

Summary: A beautiful movie
Review: I am the kind of person that usually guesses the ending of a movie or when the "good parts" are coming, etc. This movie kept me guessing as well as interested. Have seen it twice and can't wait for it to be out on video so I can own it! It will then join my stack of favorites, including "Almost Famous" and "Gone With the Wind"...

Summary: A Beautiful Movie
Review: This is one beautiful film I had waited for for months to see after seeing Russell Crowe last year while on his US tour with his band. It lives up to its hype from beginning to end. Russell Crowe mastrfully takes the viewer on a journey to hell and back. A FILM NOT TO BE MISSED!!!

Summary: A Mind Isn't Such a Terrible Thing
Review: Ron Howard has a real winner on his hands in "A Beautiful Mind", a moving tale of a brilliant but troubled mathematician. Russell Crowe's portrayal of John Nash is an incredible study in character and concetration of which few actors today are capable. We follow Nash from his college days at Princeton thourgh a life locked in a perpetual tug of war of meaning and madness. Jennifer Connolly is superb as Nash's wife and Ed Harris puts in a typically fantastic performance as the sinister government agent persuing Nash for his mathmatical talents. Elegantly woven and harsh in it's treatment at time, "A Beautiful Mind" is deserving of all accolades it has garnered since it's release. Highly recommended.

Summary: A movie that is not entirely factual? Stop the presses!
Review: With all the carrying on about the "artistic license" taken by this film you would think it had never been done before. News flash folks, Hollywood's been doing this for decades and decades. I wouldn't call "JFK" a completely accurate dipiction of the facts either, but I do call it a very well-made film worthy of the best picture nomination. Same here. Factual or not, "A Beautiful Mind" is an intriguing, artfully shot and entertaining film, and THAT's the goal here folks. All I can say to anyone griping about the "facts" of a movie is, I hope you don't find out the awful truth about professional wrestling.

Summary: Best Picture!
Review: This brilliantly-crafted movie deserves every Oscar it was nominated for. Russell Crowe is superb as John Nash, a schizophrenic math genius who descends into madness and makes his way out again with determination and the help of his wife and friends. The Math content within can be appreciated even if you don't understand it, and the acting is extraordinary.
Jennifer Connelly shines like a beacon in a role it seems she was made to play, and Ed Harris convincingly portrays an imaginary 'man in black'. The setting is also very realistic and the music illustrates perfectly and fits every scene. Forget Lord of the Rings - this film in my mind already has won 'Best Picture'.
