Rating: Summary: words can't describe.. Review: I just watched this movie about two days ago, and I want everyone to see it. it is clearly one of the most profound movies I have seen in a long time. Edward Norton's acting in this movie was outstanding--he should've won the oscar for his role. His portrayal of emotion is probably the most real and most vivid as I've seen in a long time. This movie is guaranteed to provide a cathartic experience.
Rating: Summary: At first worried to watch, but then utterly compelled! Review: After drama college yesterday I decided to rent this film primarily to learn from Edward Norton's increadible talent. I was a little wary that the film may come across as a lame excuse for racsism. However it was not long before the film had me absolutely gripped. I thought it was more than touching. The acting from Edward Norton was so very powerful and leaves an impression on you for hours. Edward Furlong too was a great choice, as he came across as someone who would be very impressionable. The film is also beautifully shot for anyone interested in cinematography, and for you actors out there, watch how Norton is most certainly a human camelion. Perhaps a little more on the redemption of Norton's Character wouldn't have gone astray. Congrats to all involved!
Rating: Summary: Powerful, thought-provoking and realistic look at hate in US Review: This was not what I expected when I first saw the poster for the movie when it was first released. As an American abroad, I found that this movie managed to show the full force of misdirected anger, blind-rage and the danger of misguided youths. Neither over nor underplayed, the movie moves you through the development, both positive and negative, of the two main characters and how they each decide to react to the situations in which they find themselves. This is a great "Wake and smell the coffee" movie, no matter if you are in Venice, California or Berlin, Germany.
Rating: Summary: Nice Review: If you like disney movies, this one isnt for yo
Rating: Summary: SO INTENSE!!!!!!!! Review: What a movie! It was dramatic, angry, and harsh.{This movie is not for people who like soft, happy endings}.It's message behind all of that is so powerful it can't be expressed into words,it's just a way of thinking that changes the way you feel about human nature.
Rating: Summary: thoughtfully made, very tragic story Review: AHX is definitely worth buying. It's a very thoughtful look at racism and how it can destroy a family. Edward Norton's unforgettable performance is reason enough to see this film--I can NOT believe how amazing this actor is (and he's what? 29? 30? Geez!). The supporting cast was good, but they didn't have much to work on (damn script). The screenplay could have been much more developed in terms of the other characters, but sometimes it almost doesn't matter because of Norton. Tony Kaye did a good job on this debut of his, no matter what he says. Not perfectly made, but still very powerful and thoroughly disturbing.
