Summary: Disney makes yet another GREAT movie!!!
Review: This is the best movie!!! I'm thirteen years old and all my friends beg me to bring it to all the sleep-overs so we can watch it! I'm ordering this for my best friend who is really upset because she can't find it anywhere! The cast is great, the music is unforgetable, and I think every one sould see this at least once!

Summary: Another one of Disney's great movies!
Review: A fabulous movie about the newsboy's paper strike. It has catchy tunes, and great dance moves. Christian Bale makes another stand out performance, and jumps of the stage with an electrifying performance.

Summary: Simply in the wrong place at the wrong time
Review: The world was not ready for a return to the days of the movie-musical when "Newsies" was released in 1992. A box-office flop, it has quickly risen to cult classic status with fans everywhere. Newsies is based on the true story of the New York newsboys' strike of 1899. Granted, Disney is guilty of "improving the truth a little", but doesn't any musical, where people break out in spontaneous song and dance, require one to put reality aside for a while? This film tells the tale of the newsies, led by tough, street-smart Jack Kelly (Christian Bale) and intelligent, reasonable David Jacobs (David Moscow), who form a union when Joseph Pulitzer (Robert Duvall) ups the price of newspapers from fifty to sixty cents a hundred. The street children - with names like Racetrack (Max Casella), a compulsive gambler who steals many scenes with his wisecracks - are aided by a newspaper reporter named Brian Denton (Bill Pullman). Together the unlikely company endures many troubles, including run-ins with the police and their leader's betrayal, throughout the strike. The actors are believable as poor orphans and runaways during the turn of the century, and one look at any of them shows that they've poured their heart and soul into this movie. The lack of depth in some characters - especially Sarah (Ele Keats) and Medda Larkson (Ann-Margret), roles that serve no discernable purpose other than sex appeal - is my only qualm with the film. Looking past that and the many continuity errors (some of which are actually quite amusing), this is a highly enjoyable movie for the entire family to share. Not a masterpiece, but plenty of entertainment!

Summary: Newsies Rocks!
Review: I saw Newsies last night for the second time (my first time was on a bus on the way to Quebec, so I didn't get the whole thing) and I love it! Christian Bale is really good in it. If you want to see some other great movies, then I would recommend Swing Kids (which has Robert Sean Leonard, a very, very cool guy along with Christian Bale).

Summary: Rent, Buy, whatever, just see this movie!
Review: Newsies is a real feel-good movie. It has lovable characters, and some incredible musical numbers. "Carryin' the Banner", "The World Will Know", "Seize the Day", and my personal favorite, " King of New York". A funny, heartwarming, family movie.

Summary: Newsies: entertaining and fun!
Review: Upon watching Newsies, I must say that it's one of my favorite movies!! The acting is great and everything is energetic because it's a bunch of guys doing all these awesome songs with great choreography! The songs are totally addictive, as is the movie itself. It's pretty family-friendly, which is so rare these days. Christian Bale and David Moscow are great as the leads, along with a score of other talented actors. It makes you want to sing and dance, and trust me, you will be singing the songs weeks after you see the movie!

Summary: Can't get enough of Newsies
Review: This movie is absolutely amazin!!!! It has great singing, great dancing, and a great story line. Nothing it has to offer is disappointing. It's an uplifting story that keeps your spirits lifted for hours. A few months ago my friends and I rediscovered the movie and we all bought it, sang the songs at lunch, and watched almost once a week. You might call this obsession, we just called it getting your money's worth for a great movie. This is not only one of my favorite movies of all time but also one of my favorite musicals. They should add some more songs and extend the story and turn it into a broadway show. I know of at least 7 people who would go see it and I'm sure there are more.

Summary: Christian Bale is the movie(that's all I have to say)
Review: While watching this movie, I was impressed. Not really by the songs or anything like that, but by the acting abilities of Christian Bale. His accent sounds so authentic and as you watch the movie you think to yourself that he may actually be a New York City street kid. The music in the movie is pretty good, with so-so lyrics. I tremendously enjoyed the movie and was upset to find out that Disney has stopped making the soundtrack.
