Summary: Highly Disturbing
Review: Sorry to offend all of you who adore this movie for it's "reality" but this is NOT what teenagers go through in America. Your average teenager doesn't go through any of this, (and for those teenagers who say that this is the way it is, you're lying! Wake up, you do not live like this!) This is a portrayal of how teenagers with antisocial personality disorder with psychotic tendencies (in other words, f*cked up teenagers) live. Wake up and smell the coffee! You don't live like this! This movie is disturbing on many fronts. There are children like this (you aren't one of them!) and there are adults that simply don't give a damn. This movie is very important because it gives those without the opporitunity to witness these things to see how bad some of our children have become. These are VERY extreme cases, but at the same time, we are all somewhere on that slippery slope towards this hedonistic and destructive existence.

Review: We saw the video by word of mouth. I would have to agree that this issue must be addresed. We are killing ourselves and by losing family morals is not helping. Watch it to become more aware of what is going on in the REAL WORLD.

Review: I heard people at my highschool taking about this movie, so I rented it. I couldn't stop thinking about KIDS after I saw it.I had to buy it after. This movie was so real that I wasn't sure if the people were acting or not. No other movie can get as real as this one. I wish there was a part 2. CASPER is solid!

Review: WHEN I FIRST SAW KIDS I THOUGHT IT WAS A SICK MOVIE. ALL OF MY FRIENDS AND EVERYONE AT SCHOOL SAID IT WAS THE BEST MOVIE. KIDS ISN'T THE REAL WAY TEENS ACT. MOST OF IT WASN'T REALISTIC AT ALL. BUT OVERALL IT WAS AN OK MOVIE. KIDS SHOULD BE SHOWN AT SCHOOL. I WAS SURPRISED IT WASN'T RATED.

Summary: Modern-day, co-ed "Lord of the Flies."
Review: And William Golding thought adults had to be -physically- absent for juvenile behavior to get this bad! How quaint... As a Gen-Xer, I think too many parents put the pursuit of money ahead of actually spending time with their children, being involved in their lives, and doing the grunt work of raising them. "Kids" shows the consequences of this cultural shift which began in the highly overrated 1960s. Thanks a lot, hippies! I've been to countries where parenting and family is more valued, and the vast majority of teens live fuller lives because the extended family acts as a built-in support network for them. Compare that to the hollow cheap-thrill seeking of the teens in this movie and I have to admit that family values really do make a difference.

Summary: I'd tell every health teacher to show it.
Review: This is an amazing movie. However, it overlooks middle-class and upper middle-class kids with the same problems, but it shows reality at its best and worst. It's a movie I've seen many times, and will see many more. This is a movie I would recommend a health teacher to show in class. It shows what's really going on. It exaggerates , and faces reality. It deserves "four stars."

Review: i am in college and choose this film to do a critique on and im so glad i choose this film. i loved it!i didn't even have to rent it my friends had bought it and seen it numerous times.i thought that this was a wonderful film, with wonderful graphics. yes, it was nasty and perverted, but wake up people this is really happening in many cities today! people don't enjoy this film cause they choose to ignore these issues instead of trying to fix them.thanks!! excellent movie

Review: I viewed this video and was pleased to see the straight forward approach that it showed. The characters e.g. (Casper and Kelly) are NOT actors, this viedo show the regular every day life of two kids. I will encourage a lot of christians to see it and if you don't like what you see, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!! Get involved with the youth and take back what has been stolen.

Summary: Larry Clark created something brilliantly raw!
Review: I rented Kids so much that the video store gave me the tape!! This movie doesn't leave anything to the imagination. Larry Clark wasn't trying to butter his audience up to a typical teen romance. This movie tells it how it really is. Just the scene where the camera alternates between the girl's bedroom and the boy's living room is enough to tell you that there is nothing innocent about this movie. It's raw, it's nasty, it's vulgar, it's perverted, it's immoral, and mostly it's how things REALLy are. A must-see for anyone who can handle the pressure of what actually goes on around them!!
