Summary: Greatest Movie of the 90's
Review: Schindler's List was the most touching, yet heart-wrenching film I have ever seen. The movie left me crying like a complete fool. I had to watch it for history class and it was truly a classic. Nothing compares to the way this movie made me feel. It really makes a person think how anyone could have been so cruel to so many people. I give this movie 5 stars and recommend it to everyone.

Review: I don't think there will ever be a movie depicted as this one was. Spielberg was truly brilliant in waiting so long to make the film. If he had made the film earlier, the impact would not be as great as it was. The only negative thing was the horror and murder that was committed. We can not fathom the things that the people had to endure. We can only say that they were the bravest of the brave. And I would like to give a commendation to Oskar Schindler for the courage God gave him and the things he did. To Spielberg, let God continue to inspire you in your future works.

Summary: Absolutley Mindblowing
Review: This is really one of the best movies I have seen. I had to watch it for a histroy class and thought it would be very boring. I was wrong. After the first 15 minutes I was hooked. I have since read the book and found that astonishing as well. Steven Speilberg deserved every Academy Award the film won, and had Tom Hanks not been in the running, Liam Neeson would would have taken home the oscar. I also think that Ralph Fiennes and Ben Kingsley were overlooked, and Fiennes was robbed of the award. If you really want a good movie that will move you to tears, Schindlers List is one of them. In my opinion, It is THE best movie of the 90's.

Summary: Tragic
Review: I am 15, and had to watch this video in school as part of a history class. I had previously viewed it in my own home first, and found it to be tragic and heart breaking. How could one man dare to stand up for himself in those times. I cried at the end when Schindler broke down. He had no need to. He was an important figure in those times. I am a passifist, so the violence didn't get me, but the story was touching. It's too good to be true.

Summary: Sorry, but here comes the critical review!
Review: Overall the movie was filmed wonderfully, the cast was well picked, and scenes were shot with care. The problem is that this could have easily been a 2 hour film. The premise at the beginning of the film was interesting, but seeing so many people shot in so many different ways was very tiresome. I got the point after the first few shootings and then it seemed like I was watching an overly done mafia movie. Once I slipped in the second tape, the film became much more emotionally stirring. This is where the tears started flowing. I cried about three or four times and let my sensitive side go. This film is worth seeing. Next time I see it, the ol' fast forward button will be in high gear on the first tape.Joe Dorsey

Review: Schindlers List is the greatest film I have ever seen. It goes directly in to your heart when you see all the people and children. The music is also great. Both sad and happy at the same time. You can't see this film without cry and I reaaly recomed it to all.

Summary: Haunting, Terrifying, Heartbreaking, Ultimately Uplifting!
Review: Possibly the greatest film I've ever seen. The use of b&w was a no-brainer, in my opinion. In color, the film would simply have been about violence. What amazed me was the use (or the lack thereof) of music. Several times during the film I jumped in surprise, because there was no music to telegraph when the "bad stuff" was about to happen. Brilliant! When the Jews were about to be invaded, there was no music to warn them in advance. Made the film that much more real. I actually felt sorry, at one point, for the character played by Ralph Fiennes, and his conflict over his growing feelings for the young Jewish girl in his home. Though the film was honored with numerous Oscar nominations, where was Ben Kingsley? Moving as the Jewish accountant, I thought he stole every scene in which he played, and often without saying a word. The scene of the Schindlers' escape, particularly the gold ring, had me in tears, and the final scene in the Jewish graveyard reduced me to a blithering, sobbing idiot. I even cried when Spielberg won the Oscar! An absolute must-see for anyone who believes that any history that man ignores, he is destined to repeat. You will say, "Never again!"

Summary: haunting, mesmerizing, and much too true.
Review: This movie (which my mom told me I wouldnt like) is one of the most vivid, haunting masterpieces of all time. The color segments such as the little girl's red coat and the glowing candles were very symbolic. It used to be that when the Holocaust crossed my mind, I usually thought nothing of it. But this movie changed my mind. Deeply depressing, but nonetheless, you must see it.

Summary: A rare film where no one cuts corners
Review: I am 18 years old and I live in England, I am neither Jewish nor German, nor am I very familiar with anyone who is; yet the film still moved me to tears. For me, that is the purpose of film; to move someone with a story with which the viewer has nothing in common. The decision to film it in black and white was daring but essential as it creates the desired mood and avoids the temptation for Spielberg to be painfully sentimental in his judaism. It also provided the opportunity for such powerfully haunting images as the little girl in the red coat, and the boy in the latrine looking up into a beam of light. The honesty of the film is such that at times I even found myself feeling sympathetic towards the german officer played by Ralph Fiennes. His soul-searching attempt to be merciful inevitably fails, illustating his fundamental inability to see the jews as anything more than animals. This epic piece of film-making is reinforced by some fabulous performances, notably Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson, and Ben Kingsley all deserving more recognition than they actually got. In my opinion the film is one of the all time greats added to the fact that Spielberg remained true to the intent of the film by not being so self-conscious as to make it more "viewer friendly" like such eforts as 'Jurassic Park'. Not to be missed, this is truly the cornerstone of all modern film-making.
