Review: I LOVE THIS MOVIE! GENA ROWLANDS HAS AND STILL IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACTRESSES- SHE SEEMS TO SPEAK STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART. SANDRA AND HARRY CONNICK JR. WERE WONDERFUL, TOO.THE SCENE BETWEEN BERNICE AND BILL BROKE MY HEART- HER CRIES WERE SO REALISTIC, THE WELL OF EMOTION SO HIGH, I CRY EVERY TIME! THIS IS A MOVIE TO BE TREASURED AND REPLAYED, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU FEEL SO LOW AND IT SEEMS LIKE YOU HAVE TO REACH UP JUST TO TOUCH THE GROUND.

Review: This is such a great movie, it will make you cry, laugh and cry and laugh some more! I could watch this movie all the time! The soundtrack is great too, I love the Garth Brooks song, the music video is really good too! If you love romantic comedy's you would love this movie!

Review: This is one of my FAVORITE movies. The first time I watched this movie it was midnight and I loved it so much I had to watch it again. The tital says it all. The movie truely is about hope and not giving up, even in the worst of times. I don't know how anyone could say this movie was depressing... it was the greatest!

Summary: Best Sandra Bulluck movie this far
Review: I really enjoyed Hope Floats , it has a good message , not to loose sight of yourself when you are with someone that they might not always be there and it is much harder starting over in life especailly if you totally devote yourself to your husband the way birdie did to Bill. She did turn out fine though which is good for people to see that are having problems with there life and she did not have an easy time of it either, i suggest if you want a good easy going movie rent or better buy this one it is a real good movie to see

Summary: The most under-appreciated child-actor scene. . .
Review: I have to say that the scene in which Bernice tries to leave with Bill is the single most gut-wrenching display of child acting I've ever seen. Watching it was enough -- I hope she only had to perform the scene one time, it was so emotionally charged. More than any child should have to endure -- a superb portrayal of the anxiety and despair that accompanies abandonment.

Review: Maybe I expected way too much from this movie. I loved the previews, the actors, the music. Then when I rented the movie I was totally disappointed. This movie is just "there". Nothing special. I wanted to laugh, I wanted to cry, I wanted to feel something for the characters. Nothing about this movie touches you anywhere.

Summary: The best romance ever made
Review: The first time I saw this movie, was one night at my best friends house. We were expecting a sizzling romance with a lot of love scenes. Instead we got a straight forward movie about life, love and hard choices. We both fell in love with the characters. It's so real because as soon as Birdee comes back, she doesn't immediately fall for Justin, she's still hurt, and she still has feelings for Bill. Gradually she lets him inside her world of hurt feelings and broken hearts and realizes she does love him, but she wants things to work out with Bill, so she leaves him in the dust. After the funeral, she realizes that Justin's not going to give up on her, no matter what. It's so realistic, her pain is so real. The feelings between her and Bernice are so real because not every mother and daughter are as close as they could be. Tissues are a must, I've seen this movie so many times, I know all the lines, but I still cry. For those that have never been through this sort of pain, this movie can be incredibly long and boring, just wait until a bad breakup to watch it. You'll change your mind.

Summary: A Glimpse into Real Life
Review: In the movie, Hope Floats, Sandra Bullock portrays a young woman who has never strived to be anything more than the prom queen she was in high school. When her husband leaves her for her best friend, she must face some hard truths about herself and her life. I hated this movie the first time I saw it, I didn't see any hope floating around anywhere. The 2nd time I saw it, I loved it and have seen it probably 15 times since then. If you didn't fall in love with it the first viewing, I recommend watching it one more time. Did the trick for me! Sandra Bullock was great and Harry Connick Jr. was certainly easy to watch with his cowboy hat and down-home small-town lifestyle.

Summary: Perfectly mediocre.
Review: This is just O.K. The story is old and there are no new twists to make it unique. Bullock hits some pretty clunky notes, but has some nice moments, too. The real acting here is done by Gena Rowlands. I recommend renting "Gloria," for which she was nominated for an Academy Award several years ago. Connick is easy on the eyes, and the soundtrack is pretty good, but this is just a "there" movie. Not too good, not too bad, just "there."

Summary: What a great couple - what a great movie!
Review: I own this movie - in fact, I bought it before I had even seen it and it was well worth the money. You can't help but fall in love with Harry Connick's character - the simple, polite, small town cowboy (who really looks good in a cowboy hat!). Sandra Bullock is great too! You can really feel her pain, frustration, confusion and most of all love. You don't want the movie to end. You'll laugh, you'll cry, but most of all - you'll like the movie.
