Summary: I thought this was a movie about the book?
Review: Who wrote the script? they obviously didn't read the book. where was Chaim and Amanda? Where were the cookie scene and the fact that Buck and Chloe were married by the end of the book? What happened to the outbreak of WW3? where was alice? what happened to the arguements between buck and verna zee? and why, oh why, were two people still alive in that movie that died? bruce dies at the end of tribulation force, chris was dead at the start of left behind! i thought the idea was to protect the integrity of the books?

I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad movie, i just wish it would have stayed closer to the books. that is the point after all. but i will say that the acting was good, and although the story wasn't true to its roots, it was overall a decent movie.

Summary: Highly enjoyable family entertainment!!!!
Review: Rarely does a sequel do justice to the first but in this case it is much better.

Summary: Please don't support these movies!
Review: As a Christian, I think it is great that we are expanding our horizons with the film industry. As a Christian-moviegoer, I find it an embarassment that movies like Left Behind + Omega Code are the best entertainment we have to offer the world.

The Christian film industry, in its' current state, deserves every type of criticism and stereotyping it receives because, let's be honest, it's all true! THESE MOVIES ARE HORRIBLY WRITTEN, ACTED, AND PRODUCED WHICH IS WHY THEY ARE NOT IN THEATRES AND WHY THE VERY SECOND THEY ARE RELEASED THEY HEAD STRAIGHT TO THE BOOKSHELVES!!! Why do we Christians so badly want to get our message out to movie lovers that we'll blindly support and purchase any 2-bit operation that has a Christian moto/message to it? We can do so much better, yet we continue to give our money away to movie houses like Cloud 10 so they can continue to make movies that no non-believer in their right mind would ever want to watch?

Another thing is, why do all major Christian film fall under the category of "end-times thriller". I'm sick of hearing movies like Left Behind I+II, Tribulation, Appocalypse, and Omega Code getting so much praise when they are not only horribly made, but are repeating the same messages over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again and again! Don't we Christians have anything better to make movies about than an upcoming persecution on believers? I mean, why not make a serious movie with serious characters dealing with serious issues? Why not make a movie about a man torn between God and country? Or a young girl having to decide whether or not to get an abortion? Or about problems inside the church related to new Christians falling unwittingly into a cult? There must be a million other ideas we could use to make good Christian movies! I refuse to believe that we Christians only have the mental capacity to talk about one thing and make bad movies about it that don't serve the topic any justice anyway! The fact is that we can do so much better! And I for one will refuse to support any half-witted film that has no structure or entertainment value whatsoever just because I might hear something positive about Jesus.

Now, after reading my big tirade above, don't think that I haven't fully given up on the Christian film industry. I do firmly believe that there is hope for the future. If you want to support the real filmmakers who can actually keep an audience interested long enough to care about the message of the gospel, I suggest you go out and buy movies like the Veggie Tales. Or better yet, find some ameteur Christian video movie houses online. They're a thousand times better than any major Christian movie house, and they're actually entertaining! Not to mention much, much cheaper than buying a DVD at your local bookstore.

Summary: Wonderful
Review: My husband is a big fan of the book series and we have watched both DVD's. We found the second one to be much better than the first. My only complaint is that it wasn't as widely marketed as the first. I didn't even know it came out until seeing it at Blockbuster.

Summary: KEEPS GETTIN' BETTER!
Review: "Left Behind II: Tribulation Force" is the best Apocalyptic thriller yet made! Stunning visual effects put you in the heart of Jerusalem, while creating tension in scenes aboard Carpathia's plane and at the wailing wall. The performances will make you laugh, cry, and shudder! The conversion scenes are maginficient and very believable! A must-have DVD for all! Movie/DVD Grade: A+

Summary: 5 Stars for Cloud Ten Pictures and Trib Force
Review: I just received the movie today....WOW! Although it does not follow the book as closely as one might expect, the story was great, acting was awesome and production and direction was very well done. I am glad to see Cloud Ten picking up where they left off with the original movie. This movie was entertaining as well as educational on Bible Prophesy. I recommend it to anyone who is reading the book series or anyone who liked the first film.

Summary: Left behind II
Review: I liked this movie, But it was lacking in several areas. For those of you who like the story line, which is about Revelation in the Bible, I've Got a much better series of movies. They are: Apocolypse (caught in the eye of the storm), Revelation, Tribulation and Apocolypse IV:Judgement.
These 4 movies are one story, And they cover the events in much better detail. If you like Special effects, I also recomend Omega Code and Megiddo(Omega code 2) These Two movies star Michael York as the AntiChrist. And he plays it very well. These two movies really keep you on the egde of your seat.

Summary: Smart improvements over #1--Needs more tension and suspense
Review: Left Behind II is better, because the producers realized they had tried to do too much with the first film. Like the Apocalypse series, the Left Behind movies do best with church audiences and those who are interested in Christian spirituality. This sequel embraces this reality, and is better for it. Additionally, the first film tried to pack an entire novel into 94 minutes, resulting in a disjointed and confusing plot--not good for a story that is based on the complexities of end times theology! #2 breaks the Tribulation Force novel in half, and does a much better job of telling the tale.

Several of the characters blossomed in this sequel. Chloe's anger, determination and tenderness come through more naturally this time. Nicolae seems older and more malevolent, without becoming an exaggerated persona. Great stuff! Both Captain Steele and Pastor Bruce also seem to catch their stride this time.

On the down side, there is less tension this time. The film feels more like a TV series, than a action-suspense movie. The pace is a bit plodding.

In one word, Left Behind II was "interesting," and as such garners three stars.

Summary: Left Behind II should stay left behind!
Review: I saw Left Behind and Left Behind II. Unfortunately I paid for them. They both should have stayed left behind on the store shelf. I WOULD NOT recommend either of these movies to any one! I will be spending my money on the Apocolypse Series. Much better made and a great story line! If you really want GOOD Christian movies with a backbone (that could go to the theaters) I would recommend that you NOT BUY this movie! Purchase the Apocolypse series with Nick Mancuso and STAY FAR AWAY FROM THE LEFT BEHIND SERIES!!!
