Review: The first time I viewed this video was when I took World History in Summer School. I now regret taking World History then, but I do not regret viewing 'Amadeus'. It is a suberb film with the comical portions balancing out the serious portions. My major complaint is that the volume is a little low. When I had turned it up and then stopped the video, the TV was blaring at me. Other than that, all of the actors and actresses gave suberb performances. One interesting note is that two characters are played by actors who also played characters in '1776'. I'm not certain of the characters' names in 'Amadeus', but I know one of the two played Dr. Lyman Hall of Georgia and the other played Mr. Samuel Chase of Maryland. If you are at all interested in historical drama, the history of music, or Mozart, this is a must.

Summary: Amazing Amadeus
Review: This movie portrays the great talent that Mozart had, you will be totally inmersed in the time period, will laugh and cry. It's a masterpiece. The DVD is pretty good, the trailer's are nice, and the info is interesting. If you like the movie, you should definitively buy this one, specially for the amazing soundtrack!

Review: Nominated for numerous Academy Awards, this film is a one-of-a-kind. Tom Hulce and F. Murray Abraham are excellent. This film has great acting, costumes, directing and music. If you love classical music and good actors, this is the film for you. One of my favorites!

Summary: MY FAVORITE MOVIE
Review: See, it's movies like this that make me proud to be a classical music fan. This is hardly a totally factual film; don't go thinking you can watch it and then write an essay about Mozart or something. No, this is simply a massively entertaining film, one that takes Mozart out of the Dora Stock silverpoint drawing and brings all of his charm, his anger, and his passion to life. This is called a "period piece," but the truth is, the emotions and ideas expressed by Mozart et al. hold true even today. Filled with subtle humor and the enormity of one man's quest for revenge against God and the universe, this is a movie you'll enjoy even if you hate Mozart. If you love Mozart, it could be the most perfect movie ever.

Summary: Amadeus
Review: I have seen this movie so many times I can't count that high. Beautifully done! Tom Hulce did an awesome job and the actor who played Wolfgang's Father looks so much like the real Leopold, it was actually frightening! :) The film really shows not only the genuis of the greatest composer who ever lived, but also shows the type of man he was in his childish, vulgar and humorous ways. I would recommend that anyone who is anyone should watch this film even if you are not a Mozart or classical music fan, because you don't know what your missing! BRAVO to the director, Milos Forman and all the actors and actresses who did a grand job showing the world Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's music and his life.

Review: I loved Amadues. It's been my favourite movie since I was 6(I am 13 now!) I think they really did do a superb job in making the scenes look like it's 18th/19th Century style, and how Mozart's life was even more exciting that you could see the movie!I really enjoyed it!

Review: It was one of the best biographic movie i have ever seen.I love the Milos Forman's biographic movies.They are excellent.I loved this movie and i loved man on the moon too. About this movie; it contains many informations that you can't find in encyclopedias.That was great, and it contains some real his operas or otherthings,that was great too.I think a person who love cinema and movies must have it in his archives.Excellent performences,great movie.

Review: One word - spectacular! I didn't know what to expect from this movie since the first time I saw it was in school. At first I thought it was a school-made movie, but then I looked on the internet and saw how many awards it won. I said "of course!" I went out and bought it immediately. No movie has ever moved me more than this one. I strongly suggest the DVD version. I, myself don't usually like widescreen, but this film can't be viewed any other way. Performances by F. Murray Abraham and Tom Hulce are wonderful! The best part is the music!

Review: I hope Warner Brothers get their act together and rerelease this movie in a dual layer format. The flipping over of the disc just kills the experience of this film.
