Summary: Cried Over Tomatoes When The Whistling Stopped Again!
Review: Fried Green Tom's... one of the weepiest and most heart renching films ever to be released. I am currently in the process of reading the book as well as I am so hooked on the charactors and story. With an amazing script, charactorisation and 100% emotional factor this is one film that everyone must see at least twice in their lives.

Summary: Keep tissues handy
Review: Kathy Bates and Jessica Tandy are such a good team in this story. A heartwarming story it is. Bates and Tandy meet by coincidence and Tandy ends up telling Bates her lifestory. I was crying through most of it. They form a special bond and in the end...well...you'll just have to watch it :-) Definate buy! Great for the whole family!

Summary: One Of The Best Movies I Have Ever Seen
Review: This movie warms the heart and soul! I would recomend this film to both men and women for it has a moral that goes deep to the core of humanity. If you have not seen it you are missing out. The DVD contains additional scenes, that make it well worth the extra bucks. I give this movie 5 stars.

Summary: A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING
Review: This movie is funny, touching, inspirational and exciting, and deals with a variety of topics such as racism, domestic violence, friendship, and aging.

My cousin and I were on our way to watch THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE, and ended up in the wrong theatre. Thank goodness, because I've since seen THE HAND and was not impressed.

FRIED GREEN TOMATOES immediately stole my heart and I've watched it every year since it came out. I find that I often have to drag my male friends kicking and screaming to watch this film with me, but they always say how great it was afterwards.

This movie is a true classic and it should have won at least one award. Once you've watched it, you have to buy it and share the fun.

Summary: GREAT YARN
Review: This movie, a love letter to the art of telling a good story, tells a might good one itself. While it is bathed in a kind of autumnal glow, and does not touch the "love that dare not speak its name" (between leads Mary Stuart Masterson/Mary Louise Parker), it remains hugely entertaining. The framing device of Jessica Tandy narrating to Kathy Bates works exceptionally well, and the mystery that propels the narrative forward may not have incredible suspense, but certainly holds your imagination. It is the well-developed and heart-wrenching intimate friendship between two interesting women that really makes this movie click. Colorful, if manipulative, it has the spirit if not the fine-tuned and saucier observations of Fannie Flagg's superior book.

Summary: Simply one of the best movies of the 90 s!
Review: I saw this movie the first time in 1992 on Pan & Scan Laserdisc and loved it since then. I was very happy to hear that Universal anounced a special edition in 1998 from their famous "signature collection" series on laserdisc. I immediately bought the new version and it has lots of extra's, is in widescreen and has extra footage not available on the original LD and VHS release. Now I bought it for the third time on DVD and I must admit that the picture quality is even better than the already excellent LD versions. I do find however, the sound quality on the LD better. About the movie itself...Do we have to mention more than Jessica Tandy (Driving Miss Daisy, To dance with a white dog) and Kathy Bates ( Dolores Claiborne, Misery ) ! Some of the best acting ever seen in film history. Also Great performances by Mary Louise Parker (boys on the side) and Mary Stuart Masterson (Immediate Family).

Summary: great movie uplifting and enlighting.
Review: This movie is really good because it teaches you great lessons about the importance of friendship and love. the story talks about idgy who's brother gets hit by a train trying to save Ruth's hat and from then on idgy hated Ruth until the day they became best friends. Idgy is a tomboy and Ruth is a lady. I recommend this to anyone who loves their friends and who loves love stories.this a movie you have to stick with or else you wont understand the ending
