Summary: Crappy, but Sexy
Review: This is one of the worst vampire films I have ever seen! The storyline is a complete yawn. The characters are ridiculously silly and boring. The only thing that saves this film from being a "1 star" is the ultra hot lesbian scene between Alyssa Milano and Charlotte Lewis. I do wish they would have had an entire love scene together, but what do you expect from an R Rated film of this quality?

Summary: For Milano
Review: Not the worst B flick I've ever watched. But if your a Milano fan, Wow.

Summary: Milano's Breasts Deserved an Oscar Nomination
Review: Vampires are fundamentally silly. They wax poetic while sucking your blood. For the most part the chick ones like to get naked and instead of eating food like the rest of vampires they drink blood. I think it has something to do with poor iron. I wonder why they've never made a movie about a bunch of HIV infected Vampire's. Wait does Queer as Folk count? Oh, I don't know.

EMBRACE THE VAMPIRE is not a vampire movie, like Dracula is a vampire movie. In fact I thought it would have been better with out the vampire. No this film is The Britney Spears Story. Alyssa Milano (Poison IVY II) stars as Charlotte, a girl raised by nuns, who is very prudish and yet she goes to college and can't seem to keep her clothes on. Everybody is taking this girl clothes off, and this doesn't seem to bother her.

Charlotte has a boyfriend named Chris (Harrison Pruett, Sybil) who really wants to have sex with her. She'll get naked for him but tell him to look away. Women are such teases. She's got friends like Nicole (Rachel True, Groove) who want her to loosen up, and enemies like Eliza (Jordan Ladd, Never Been Kissed) who in the end wind up loosening her up. Then she's got her Bi-sexual love interest Sarah (Charlotte Lewis, Navajo Blues) who I'm convinced she should have ended up with at the end of the movie. The two of them kissed the best.

Oh wait, I forgot to mention there is a vampire (Martin Kemp, Aspen Extreme) in this movie, that needs a virgin or he'll die. They don't really explain why, but trust me, if I'd known I probably would have been let down. Never have I wanted a vampire movie not to have a vampire in it.

This is a typical B picture; most of the acting is bad, especially by Milano, Kemp and Pruett. There is very little character in this film.

This is director Anne Goursaud first feature film, but she has since directed Poison Ivy II and Another 9 ½ weeks. This movie is better than those two. It flows well, and it's only when we see the Vampire that we wish he wasn't there. This is a teen coming of age picture that tries to hide the fact that it's missing a plot, but sticking a vampire in it.

So if you wanna see Alyssa Milano naked rent this movie. If not rent something else.

Summary: Embrace of the Plotless
Review: Hi, I am 15, and I think this movie was nothing more than soft porn with a weak plot. The part where the Lovesick Vampire bashes the womans head in the door than licks her brains off of it was Nasty. If you are interested in this movie rent it first or borrow someones elses copy to decide weather to buy it.

Summary: cinematic opus, and bill
Review: as the previous reviewer mentioned, this is easily an Oscar caliber performance from Ms. milano. while some may know her from her tireless work on behalf of those oppressed by tops or on her weekly tour de force "charmed", others will hearken back to a simpler age, when she was on who's the boss. that was a show ahead of its time. it was not afraid to ask the tough hard hitting journalistic interrogatives, and really put you on the spot to answer the title question. On the surface Judith light was the seeming "boss", yet she frequently deferred to Tony danza's sage wisdom. I believe the show proved her to really be a figurehead, and "mister minnelli" the power behind the throne, but I digress.

alyssa has truly found her stride in this movie. she registers herself as a thespian with this performance, and many consider this her message to the academy, that she has arrived. the depth and power with which she removes various garments has to be seen to be believed. her spontaneous delivery of hamlets soliloquy deep in the second act brought tears to my eyes. luckily the tissue box was close...at hand. i believe if they revived the aforementioned show, alyssa would now be the boss.

Summary: BY FAR THE BEST MOVIE EVER!
Review: The voices of the Academy spoke in whispered tones as they pay homage to the greatest performances ever to grace American cinema.
Olivier, Brando, DeNiro, and now....Milano.
Please ignore the moronic ill conceived comments of my fellow reviewers and purchase this infuential DVD right now. It is easily the best movie ever made.
To be truthful, I did not watch the entire film, but I did watch two of the scenes with Alyssa and Charlotte Lewis over and over and over, so I feel well qualified to review this movie. Some will point out that I only watched the Lesbian Nude scenes, and missed several key points of plot and character development, but isn't that just nit-picking?
In any case please disregard all negative reviews of this movie, and let said reviewers return to their agenda of poodle walking and blouse shopping with their "life partners".
I await the sequel anxiously!

Summary: Alyssa Milano is a beauty!
Review: If you love Alyssa Milano you will want this movie! She is a diverse actress, not only beautiful but talented as well. A must see for all fans!

Summary: For soft-core fans
Review: A vampire (Kemp) has 3 days to find the soul of his virginal true love and sleep with her or he's toast. As luck would have it he finds her in the body of a student, so begins a series of erotic dreams in which the vampire attempts to seduce his would-be bride. When rating this film I had 2 factors to consider since I bought it expecting a horror movie. For a a soft-core its very steamy without being over done, with Alyssa getting it on with Martin Kemp and Charlotte Lewis. But the vampire part is a after thought. There is no horror and the ending is no surprise.

Summary: Embracing Alyssa Milano
Review: If your looking for a great vampire film to make your blood curdle than look somewhere else. Embrace of the Vampire is not a movie to be taken seriously by vampire fans, but it is rather a movie made for Alyssa Milano to show us what she's got. Anything among the realm of a storyline or good acting isn't found here, so just enjoy Embrace of the Vampire for what it is: a softcore late night cable flick with vampires and Alyssa Milano showing her fans that she's all grown up.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Softcore Lesbian Vampire Porn
Review: And that's it. Milano gets naked, Kemp's vampire goes after her. In between we have some lust, some orgies, and a lame plot involving something about morals that I just can't remember. Sorry.

It's cheesy, good fun that should appeal to the open minded of either sex as a date video. But make sure he/she isn't a prude. The only thing missing from this vid are close-ups...and Milano even does a lesbian thing, for all those lonely guys out there.

Worth your time, as long as you aren't looking for suspense, dialogue, or a coherent plot. Oh, and if you're looking for lots and lots of softcore sex, well, this is your film. Rejoice!

PS: I give it 3 of 5 not for the film, but for the fact that it celebrates what is--softcore lesbian vampire porn! And never deviates. As a film, it barely rates. As mediocre softcore with (semi)stars, it's brilliant.
