Summary: " A beautiful reflection of true love & simpler times"
Review: Ms.Seymour and Mr.Reeve; make me feel as if I am back in time with them. The movie reminds me of much simpler times, when as a little girl, I would visit my Grandparents on the family farm and in the small town just a few miles away. Those times where special; being able to be play with my cousins, and just enjoy all the exploring and fun things we did together. Fortunately, I still have an Aunt & Cousins in the same small town and I also have Cousins in Charlotte, NC. Therefore, especially when I visit my Aunt, it is like the good old days, still quiet and peaceful. Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour were both outstanding in this film. Summary: What a beautiful love story!
Review: Evidently, critics don't love this film very much. Maybe, they were fed up with their wives sticking to and weeping over absurd love stories...like me. I am a 36 years old, male, experienced too much to be moved by pure love story. But, in short, I saw this film, and I love it. This film was one of 2 films that helped me understand my wife's emotion when she crying over drama(Another one? I can't remember the exact name, but it was something like "Summersby" or "Sumersby", starring Gear and Foster). This is a good movie. Especially the theme music, played over and over again, a part of Rachmaninoff's varriation on the theme by Paganini. Perfect match to the scene. Actor and Actress did great job expressing the subtle emotional change and their urgent love. It might have been very boring film without one of them. If you have not seen this film, I can recommend this film to any females, regardless of your age, and challenge to some part of males that never been moved by love story. Don't let the critics do your choice. But don't expect too much. Be silly for a while. It was not that bad experience even for me.

Summary: Great Cinematography
Review: Not only this movie depicts a beautiful love story, the transition from present to the past and back to the present is wonderfully portrayed. Great costumes and fashions in the early 1900s. Soundtrack is also superb. With my DVDs numbering to almost 140, this is on my top 10 best list.

Review: I saw "Somewhere In Time" in the theater in 1979 with my "first love"--It has been a very special movie to me ever since! The music (Rachmaninoff), the scenery (Mackinac Island) & combination of Reeves and Seymour is a timeless romantic masterpiece. Don't be logical when watching this one--Trying to figure out the "why's" & "how's" will spoil the mood!! Just enjoy!!

Review: this is the first movie that ever made me cry. i was only a small child, but i understood that there was something so special, so beautiful between the lovers in this movie, that i could not hold back tears. now i am 23 and the movie still captivates my heart. the music alone is worth the price, and jane seymour is even more lovely than uma thurman in "the adventures of baron von munchausen." let go of reality and let this sincere film bathe your heart in the wonder of desperate love. an afterthought-- such a breath of fresh air to see a great film with no cursing, violence, or nudity. just a vivid, imaginative, beautiful plot, a flight of fancy.

Review: Although the professional critics seemed less than impressed. Most who enjoy dramas with a love story will appreciate this movie. The actors draw you in and bring you back in time with them. After watching this movie don't be surprised if you find yourself searching for a historic Hotel or Inn where you can get a feeling of traveling back in time yourself. This is one movie that will probably stay on your mind long after the credits roll.

This movie will outlive all other romance movies. If you visit the island of Mackinac you will appreciate the beautiful atmosphere of this special and unique location. The music ties it all together. You will love the feeling that it gives you for a long time.
