Summary: Robia LaMorte makes it good
Review: "Chicks, Man" is a film about four friends -- Jack (Aaron Priest), Kelly (Robia LaMorte), Rod and Sarina (Krista Gano) -- each at a turning point in their lovelives. Jack and Sarina have both recently broken up with their long-time steadies and are learning to deal with life un-attached again; Rod, the eternal bachelor, is busy pursuing what he thinks might be the one woman capable of causing him to engage in a long-term monogomous relationship; and Kelly seems to attract every weirdo in town, but is desiring the boy who's been her best friend since they were 4 years old, Jack.

For the most part, this movie is pretty dull. The characters are mostly two-dimensional, the jokes dull, and the story simply doesn't go anywhere. The only reason to watch this movie is Robia LaMorte. Best known for playing Jenny Calendar for two seasons on the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" TV series, Robia is a phenominal actress who makes the best of a weak script. When she's in the frame, all the actors seem to play a little bit better, but without her, they flounder one and all. It's a shame this film represents the most exposure this underrated actress has ever received in her career.

The good news is, this DVD is cheap, so if you're a fan of Robia's, then she easily makes the whole thing worth the price of admission. It's not Shakespeare and was never a threat at getting an Oscar nod, but Robia is still very good.

Review: For those of you who drool over the sight of perfection...here she is. The movie is about this dork who won't make a move on Robia La Morte...aw come on man. It's kind of like Brother's McMullen meets three's company with a lot of funny lines. Most important though, is Robia. If that's what you like...there's plenty of her.
