Review: Patch Adams is most likely one of the best comedy-drama films ever made. The well written screenplay based on the true story of Hunter "Patch" Adams combines side-splitting humor with serious drama. Robin Williams steals the show as Patch Adams, and Monica Potter also has her moments in the film. Wonderfully done film that is worth every penny.

Review: I was surprised at how much this film moved me. I thought it was just going to be some stupid movie about a doctor who wanted to be a clown. This is the story of how Doctor's are taught to not care about their patients, and one man's fight against that. At one point I was nearly brought to tears...ok, a couple of times...alright SEVERAL times! I hate Doctors because it's so obvious that they don't care. The profession that began with compassion has degenerated to collection agencies and denials of treatment. This movie stands up and says "What the heck happened?" I am still in awe of the fact that I loved this movie. I am not a big Robin Williams fan, but as I get older I find myself attracted more and more to his work. This is a fine piece of feel-good moviemaking, along the lines of Phenomenon.

Review: I am completely stunned by all the positive reviews of this movie. I guess the American public is not very hard to please. Robin William's silly antics left me cold. If Patch Adams was supposed to be such a feel-good movie, why was I in such pain every time he put that stupid enema bulb on his nose? I found myself desperately hoping that the real Patch Adams was nothing like that. I have not seen such a painfully awful movie since "North." Everybody keeps talking about these tearjerker scenes. Did I miss them? Maybe I was too engrossed in my own agony.

Review: Patch Adams will forever be the most astounding and influencial movie I have ever seen. If you could have any one video in your collection, let this be the one. Before I had even seen this movie I had planned on being a doctor. But I didn't have such an extensive insight on just how much one can change and influence a patient's life for the better. Now I have a true and deep yearning to be a doctor of health as well as a doctor of love. Please watch this film with an open heart. It's a true story that will stay with you forever and ever.

I was so angry when his girlfriend died, but what he did with his grief was awesome. He turned it into a positive, against all odds. Recommending this movie to anyone who has a heart.
