Summary: A Great horror-comedy!
Review: Hennenlotter's second film after the enjoyable cult classic "Basket Case", is even better dealing with Herbst's plight after he becomes addicted to a blue liquid excreted by a personable little worm-creature named Alymer. The fluid gives him wonderful highs, but Alymer will only give it to him if he helps the parasite eat (Which is sucking people's brains out). He tries his hardest to fight the urges, but cannot overcome the grip of the drug. Very original, with good writing, and neat visuals for such a low budget. Cut by Paramount on its video release, there is a gore-drenched euro version floating out there which dosen't really improve the film any, but should state gore buffs.

Summary: Worst movie EVAR!
Review: I love bad cheesy movies (see 'The Stuff'), but this has got to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Mind you, I *did* make it through the whole thing so I guess something made me keep watching. Maybe it was hope that it would get better.

Summary: This Movie will blow your mind!
Review: I must of been out of my head to buy this movie, but I gave it a chance anyway, and I must admit that its not that bad, there is plenty of gore, the effects are above average and the dvd quality is excellent. unfortunately the film runs out of steam quite early on, however it will keep you guessing till the very disturbing end. I have given it 4 stars for the very experience, the vast amount of gore and some of the worst acting ever put to film. In my opinion you could do far worse, but at the same time you could do far better.

Summary: SHOULD BE REREALESED IN THE MOVIE THEATERS AS A DRUG WARNING
Review: i think that everyone here is already familiar with the plot,so im not gonna write a summmary of it..this movie is great.excellent dvd.in the commentary part,Frank Henelotter says that this film is sort of a warning to drug users.remeber the overdose at the end of the film?not that many people have ever heard of this film so i think that it shoould be released in theaters again because it is sort of a drug warning.and know that there is alot of stuff about drugs, alot of people might get of smoking and stuff after viewing this film( i know i would)and because i was born in 1986 so i was only in 2 in 1988(when this film came out)and i want to see this film in the theaters.

Summary: One of the best gets a great release
Review: I've always been a fan of BRAIN DAMAGE, and it was the main movie I bugged Elite Entertainment for a deluxe laserdisc release of.Well, it took a few years, but Don's done it under his new label, Synapse Films. This DVD release looks and sounds great. It features an excellent transfer of the full-length feature, running commentary, and an isolated music track. There's also a trailer. If you've seen BRAIN DAMAGE before, this is a good chance to see it again- and uncut at that. If you haven't seen it and can stomach some gore in a horror movie, check it out. It's even better than you've heard.

Summary: KISS OF DEATH
Review: If you're a Peter Jackson's DEAD ALIVE fan, you'll love Frank Henenlotter's BRAIN DAMAGE. 50 % horror, 50% comic : that's the secret. Add an above average screenplay (OK ! that's not the difficulty for an 1988 movie...) and a dozen actors who seem at least semi-professional and you obtain a B-movie that deserves to stay in your library.

Brian's horrible friend is a vague cousin of E.T. but a little bit more symbolical ; Frank Henenlotter, during the commentary of BRAIN DAMAGE, doesn't deny that he was thinking of the most valuable attribute of the male when designing IT.

Remember the sci-fi novel of Brian Aldiss THE GREEN WORLD ? Well, the animal sticking on the hero's head in this book is the grandfather of Elmer. It loves you but you have to obey it, it will make you happy but you have to feed him first.

A terrific transfer in the DVD standard, a commentary of the director and the trailers of the movie and BASKET CASE as bonus features. Wow!

A DVD dedicated to the vegetarian ones.

Summary: DownRok
Review: Yeah, I saw this picture during the Dane Tour 2000. Its about some freakish little alien that looks like a cartoon. The alien is named Elmo and he feeds on brains or something. People let the little parasite feed on them because elmo gives them an addictive hallucinogen. In the end the main character gets over sauced with the crazy drug and starts firing Corona Beams out of his head.(see cover)
