Summary: THE Definitive Gen X Movie of All Time
Review: If you graduated from high school in the 1980s and haven't seen this film, you must have been locked in a cave.

John Hughes delivers the definitive nostalgic teen movie of the Generation X crowd. The cast made up the '80s "brat pack" with Judd Nelson, Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy, Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall. It's hard to believe while seeing this film that Ringwald and Hall were the only real high school aged performers... the others were in their mid to late 20s during filming.

While modern teens may not find this as "sophisticated" as over-sexed comedies like "American Pie," anyone can appreciate true feelings, teen angst, self doubt and relationships with parents portrayed in this film.

A group of kids sitting for 8 hours in detention on a Saturday none of them will ever forget. While there is foul language, it's about the same speed as what you can hear on "NYPD Blue" on TV. There is no nudity or sex, just raw, in your face teen angst.

You see this group of "losers," warts and all, and become friends with all of them before the film is over. The DVD doesn't offer anything other than cast bios and subtitles... which is a disappointment. It would have been great to have had some interviews with the cast and behind the scenes footage. Nonetheless, DVD is much better than tape and definitely worth the extra $ for a non volitile format.

Summary: JUDD NELSON IS GRRRREAT
Review: I'm totally in love with this movie, especially with Judd Nelson, and his character John Bender... The film is set with the five teenagers, each from a different social circle (this bit is a bit unrealistic; the chances of getting the prom queen, star athlete, school geek, the basket case and the rebel all in at one time?) The film is funny, heart warming, and in the scene about their homelifes, very realistic. This movie is an all time classic, and shouldn't be missed by anyone!

Summary: An Excellent Perspective On Peer Pressure
Review: This movie very accurately describes the trials and tribulations of five very different teenagers. Each of the five teens has critical issues that effect him or her and its is very interesting how each individual brings can bring out reactions from the rest of the group. Its almost like a teen therapy session and in the end, each person seems to learn from one another. Judd Nelson gives a real killer performance as a troubled teen trying to find happiness in a world that does nothing but dump on him. His humor seems to make him strong and impresses Molly Ringwald in the end. Its intersting to watch these five as well as the teacher and custodian evolve over the course of the movie. The depth of this movie plus aspects of both drama and comedy make The Breakfast Club one of my all time favorites.

Summary: The Start of the Brat Pack!
Review: And, in my opinion.....THE BEST ONE! "Breakfast Club" is absolutely one of the smartest and accurate views into the world of high school. The cast is fabulous, the music ROCKS and it's the best movie by director John Hughes. He has insight into the mind of a teenager, like no one else. "The Breakfast Club" is without a doubt, a must see for everyone!

Summary: Does Barry Manilow know you raid his wardrobe?
Review: That is probably one of the best lines of the movie. This '80s classic is not your typical teenage movie (e.g. Sex, Drugs, & Rock Music) as it shows teenagers discussing their problems (Fitting in with their peers, parental problems, etc). It's a film that will stand the test of time because it's different from other films of it's genre. Great performances by Molly Ringwald and Judd Nelson.

Review: This movie rocks! This is a pure delight involving five teenagers spending detention together on a saturday. They all come from different backgrounds, with different attitudes. But there is one thing they do have in common and that is each one of them have a troubled " home life " with a story to tell. A very entertaining movie watch and youll see.

Summary: The Breakfast Club
Review: This is one teen movie that don't have any sex or party scene. I like the way John Hughes treated the characters. You see, Molly's character was supposed to be the kind you hate, but I didn't. I also liked the way the characters opened up with each other even though they know when monday comes, they will again act as if each other doesn't exist. I also loved the way John Hughes paired up the characters: John and Claire & Andy and Allison. I particularly loved the scene where Brian congratulates himself for making a good essay for Mr. Vernon. Whatever the critics say, The Breakfast Club is one of the best movies ever made.
