Review: Sherilyn Fenn is beautiful in this movie. WOW!!! Okay with that outta the way lets get down to business. To hell with those who say this movie is nothing more than a campy soft-core joke of a movie. The story is actually VERY interesting and well worth following through with. It is extremely erotic, sensual, passionate or whatever word you want to use. It is just a great movie, the acting is very underrated on all accounts. Fenn just glows in this movie, her body is amazing and her voice is mesmerizing. It is a type of chick flick, but with an edge to keep any guy wanting to watch it. Nice flick, one of my faves.

Review: The more I watch it..the more it rocks! I keep thinking why can't all movies be more like this one. Here's the deal, every true guy out there would kill to be like Tyson, I used to work with a guy years ago who looked exactly like this character, chicks would throw themselves at him (now he works for a railroad, has three kids and weighs 250 pds,) but besides the point I was always enveyous of this guy. Fenn is just too great in this movie, she did a great acting job and regardless what some of the critics thought (Ebert, like he could EVER understand a movie like this, even in his wildest dreams) it had a good plot, it had great sex, it had mystery, but it was done extremely tasteful. This is far far from porn, some say soft-porn, I think it's a masterpiece, it could never be mainstream (for the sex) but it made me think how valuable and exciting life was at that time in life when you had everything ahead of you and could afford the risks and didn't worry about the outcomes.

Anyway, I agreed with someone who said that this movie is a great watch after a break up. The last time I saw this movie was in 1989.

Summary: Lust, sex, deception and the old South
Review: This fairly erotic movie features strong performances by Sherilyn Fenn, who displays quite a bit of skin in the movie, Louise Fletcher, the late Burl Ives, and a surprisingly not bad looking Kristy McNichol, in a tale of lust, sex, and the old South.
Without giving the plot away, Fenn is a girl who can't say no to an all teeth, tanned, and long haired carnival worker; befor she marries into an upper class Southern families (or better to say merges the two families). (And she has the nerve to wear white!) Her grandmother and the local sheriff and friend of the family (Ives)have other ideas. There is a fairly hot dancing sequence with Fenn and McNichol (who definitely left any traces of her character on "Family" behind, exposing a little skin of her own; though she's clearly overmatched, bodywise, by Fenn). Not a bad movie, I wonder how the sequel will be.

Review: This has to be one of my all time favourite movies, 'Red Shoe Diary' is another! Sexy, fun and erotic with a brilliant soundtrack! If you like to watch an erotic love story featuring beautiful people then this one is for you! I totally recommend it!!

Review: This movie focuses on a rich southern girl named April that is engaged to another socialite. April falls in love with a carnival worker named Perry and the movie follows their "forbiddne romance."

There isn't really anything particularly interesting in this movie. Some sex scenes, but that is about it. The plot is terrible and predictable. I would say that this would have been better marketed about a soft-core porno movie, but even most movies of such calibre have better sculptured plots.

Don't buy this movie. Don't even spend money to rent it. It is bad.

Review: This movie is a complete waste of time,not to mention(your) money.This is a 'hot southern nights' drifter/ romance plot that was big in the 50's and 60's. They work when Paul Newman types play them, not Richard Tyson-'can you say totally gross!!' yuck!. Sherilyn Fenn is lovely, however she has nothing on her mind in the film except getting down and dirty with the ugly
carny drifter dude.There really is no rhyme or reason to this movie. I was glad to see that they had at least thought to employ some "real" actors Burl Ives, Juanita Moore,ect... however not enough lines given to them to save this low budget 80's soft porn movie,The only reason to buy and/or rent this would be if you're interested in interior design and/or set design. Do yourself a favor and rent or buy "No Mercy" with Kim Bassinger and Richard Gere. Please skip this one!, You can find better trust me.
