Rating: Summary: World of Pain Review: I had the displeasure of viewing this film while flying back from Osaka. I was bored with game boy, and I wasn't tired, so I figured that I'd give the movie a shot. After all, it couldn't be that bad.I was wrong. This is, without a doubt, the worst movie I've ever seen in my life. When Britney Spears complaines to her father how she worked really hard in high school, I lost it. I laughed so hard that everybody on the plane stared at me. The plot is non-existant. A group of whiny stupid high school girls drive across the country and learn about how not to live your life. It doesn't help matters that Spears learns these "life lessons" while brushing her hair out of her eyes. You don't believe me? I counted. I saw her brush her hair out of her eyes about three times in the space of a minute. In other words, she can't act, unless she's trying to convey that her character is really vain. And on top of all that, she slaughtered "I Love Rock and Roll." A classic song has not been maligned so badly since the Beach Boys did "California Dreaming." I only managed to see half of of the movie before I gave up. In short, I've had [visits] to the dentist office that were more fun. Don't see this movie. Ever.
Rating: Summary: Not that Bad...right? Review: This movie was good for Britney. If any REAL actors were to be in this film, their careers would plummet big time. The movie is quite unrealistic and Britney is seen dancing in her bra and panties within the first ten minutes of the film and then again at the prom!! The DVD specials were boring, so I just turned it off! Please, don't count on seeing Zoe Saldana, Taryn Manning and ESPECIALLY Britney in any movies soon. I didn't like it. I mean, who would take a road trip with two people they didn't like across the country? I'm not raising my hand, are you?

Rating: Summary: Britney needs help!!! Review: Okay, all of you "Britney wannabees" out there, and all the others who have defended this tasteless and bad movie. Yes, it is a bad movie for a number of reasons. It is adult content. You know, profanity, sex (rape), unwed motherhood, et cetera, et cetera. Some have said that this movie changed their lives because they cried at the movie. Hey, if every movie you cry at will change your life, how about trying "Schindler's List." There's a terrific movie to change your life. All in all, though, Britney Spears is "allegedly" a role model to many young girls out there, and this is not a movie which really encourages those youngsters or shows them what a real role model is. Where's Britney's femininity, or her aspiring nobility or even dignity? Where are those thing? It appears she has sold out to the Hollywood notion that Madonna sold out to, and all the others, including Drew Barrymoore and others. Sex may sell, but it doesn't do a thing to impress the moms and dads out there who want to keep their little ones from harm. This movie is harmful on a lot of levels, and if you all out there think it's a great movie, maybe you are at the level where Britney is in this movie, so you can relate. I'd suggest that you find a different role model. Do you remember the Rolling Stone cover not too long ago with a nearly disrobed Britney Spears on the cover? That, in itself, speaks volumes, and my two daughters WILL NOT be impressed with the kind of "lack of dignity and role model" this Spears has shown us. Moms, keep your daughters away from this film. Dads, if you are out for a treat or at home looking for a good movie, try an old fashioned Disney one. Maybe Pollyanna or even Mary Poppins. Two great flics. Not this one. Crossroads is definitely NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
Rating: Summary: IF U HAVE TROUBLE SLEEPING WATCH THIS MOVIE Review: THIS MOVIE IS A WASTE OF MONEY TIME AND THE ACTOR BRITNEY SPEARS [word] OF COURSE ALL OF BRITNEY SPEARS PRODUCTS ARE A WASTE OF MONEY BECAUSE A MONKEY HAS MORE TALTENT THAN HER
Rating: Summary: Don't Hate...Crossroads Isn't THAT Bad! Review: Britney Spears has made a movie. Depending on your gender, age bracket, and musical preferrence, that could be the best news in the world, or conversely, the worst. I'm not going to talk about Britney as a musician at all, because that's irrelevant to the film, really. I'll try my best to review the film without mentioning any Britney-isms that she has become so popular for. Britney's first movie is obviously a Glitter-esque movie: a vehical to display her as a "serious" actress and not as a pop ...-muffin. Well, it succeeds and it doesn't. I've noticed that in almost all movies that star musicians (Glitter, A Walk To Remember, Spiceworld...), the first shot of the artist is of them singing (or in Glitter's case, dancing). If you want an audience to see you as someone OTHER than a singer, don't start a film by singing. Seems to make sense, doesn't it? The movie itself is rather slow-moving, but is definetly a worthwhile story that is worth telling. The subplots involve a rape, uncaring mother, and a teen pregnancy. Of course, there are some moments that seem a little forced, for example, after a night of drinking, one of the characters says, "I'm never doing THAT again!" You can almost hear the mothers of America praising her for a breif second. The DVD extras are simply unbelievable. You can learn how to make T-Shirts (the parental advisory before this segment just confirms that, yes, they actually intend for children to wear the mini-mini-mini tops that they're creating), listen to audio commentary, watch Britney pop-up all over the film with her input, watch music videos, edit your own, and watch behind the scene footage of the Crossroads premiere. And that isn't even everything! Deleted scenes! Making of the film documentary! They really pulled all the stops. The movie itself receives three stars. The extras are deserving of five. The combinded score is a four.
Rating: Summary: really is not a bad movie Review: All of the anti-Britneys out there are going to pick out every single reason they can find to [criticize] this movie, which really is a shame because it is not a bad movie. Considering the expectations that I'm sure many of us had beforehand, it was a surprisingly good film. Ok, so it's your typical teen movie and nothing extravagent, but I feel that Britney's movie debut was excellent. She picked a role that she knew well and played it with realism. She played a somewhat dorky girl named Lucy without overdoing it and making it too cliche. Taryn Manning and Zoe Saldana were also great as Britney's 2 friends, and Anson Mount was very good as Ben. The storyline:Three girls go on a road trip with a guy, where they fix their broken relationship and eventually find themselves. Sound cliche and cheesy to you? Maybe it does, but it really isn't. There are only 2 types of people who will see this movie: Britney fans and Britney haters. Enough said. Bottom line: you're gonna have to open your mind pretty wide before you see this movie, or else you'll bend to all of the [negative] talk that's been going around about Britney's acting and all that. I think this is one of the most underestimated movie of the year. No, it's not an Oscar contender or anything like that, but it definitely does not deserve what it has gotten. I agree that Mariah Carey's "Glitter" was pretty bad, but "Crossroads" is not. Britney pulled out a decent plot, created some realistic characters, and got a story going. It is nothing worse than any other teen movie. Give it a chance: I dare you.
Rating: Summary: This movie will change your life Review: I watched this movie with my girlfriend who's seven years older than me and she was so touched by the movie she cried. I was laughing all the while and she got so mad we had big fight. We weren't on speaking terms for the next two weeks. I had to give 5 stars to this movie to make up for her.
Rating: Summary: my #1 favorite movie ever Review: I like this movie very much. It shows how though you may go down different paths than your very best friends and drift apart you always come back to them. After watching Crossroads it made me and my two best friends become closer to each other. I like Britney Spears alot more also. I recommend watching this movie. You may cry a little bit, but seeing this movie is worth it.
Rating: Summary: Boring and Cliché!!! Review: The movie is what I had expect, very boring and [obvious], sure not the movie of the year.Britney Spears act like she is in reality. Well she play the role of Lucy, a cute, nice nice, smart girl. The one who get on my nerves the most is the black beauty Diva, I don't remember her name, well she act in the beginning like a real snob and after wow she change and become friend again with Lucy and Mimi, just like that, soooo [obvious]!The girl from the trailer park, Mimi, gets on my nerves too, she talked funny, it seem like she always have something in her mouth when she talked. She was suppose to be the one who will become a singer but oh guess who become one well LUCY! What a big coincidence? And the handsome hunk, I don't remember his name? Well he get with who, well Lucy!Lucy want to meet her mom, she meet her and we don't see her mom (Kim Catrall) a lot and I wonder what was the point to see her, she doesn't care about Lucy. Well if you are a Britney Spears fan your going to like this movie if you don't well don't rent it because Britney Spears will get more on your nerves! Well about the performance as an actress from Britney is not that bad for a first movie, it sure [predictable] and she act like herself but if she will have a good coach she can become a good actress!
