Rating: Summary: Oops Britney Can Act! Review: Hello I recently got to view a small part of this film at a small convention at a blockbuster movie here in my home town and i must say from what i saw about 45 min. of the movie was excellent... britney started out acting and singing on the Mickey Mouse Club and you can tell she knows what she is doing... there is a down side some of the other actors and actresses in this movie did not portray a great deal of good acting... of course it was still a good movie.. who cares about the other actors and actresses we are going to the movies to see Britney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: A word of warning for parents Review: This movie has quite a few problems, not the least of which is confusion over what's it's core audience will be. the movie deals with very adult issues (including sex and underage drinking), but because Britney Spear's main audience is preteens or people not much older this movie should be handled with caution. Next the british press has already reviewed the film and there reviews are iffy at best. Everything from the plot to the aforementioned star's acting ability have been attacked, for that matter it is also difficult to find any review with something positive about the film.

Rating: Summary: BRITNEY'S DEBUT FILM IS GOOD! Review: Britney Spears may not be a Mariah Carey or Christina, but she definetely has a more powerful fan-base and she has proved that with her three CDs (...Baby One More Time, and the record-setting Oops!I Did It Again and the current Britney). Now, she's about to begin her reign on the big screen with the movie "Croosroads". The film is about three childhood buddies who decide to go on a road trip together after high school. Along for the ride is a guy named Ben, who happens to be musician. This movie proves to be fun for Britney fans with three of her new songs off the CD "Britney" and the songstress also performing. Non-fans and people alike will probably enjoy this flick. GO SEE THE FILM ON FEBURARY 15TH!
Rating: Summary: Britney Can Act. Review: Britney Spears has done it again with her new album 'Britney' which includes the fist single from the soundtrack 'Crossroads' 'I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman.' Britney plays a girl named "Lucy' who is a goody-goody. She obeys her father, played by Dan Ackroyd. She and her friends decide that since they are graduated and moving on with their lives, they need to have one more trip together. Britney or 'Lucy' wants to find her mother again. This film has some new-commers and some who have played in the film 'Center Stage.' 'Crossroads' is directed by a talented director, Tamra Davis, who has directed films with Adam Sandler and Bridgette Wilson. She has proved that she doesn't care what kind of reviews this film gets. Britney makes a difference and proves a pop singer can act. 'Crossroads' looks like a good film. Go see it! It comes out February 15, 2002!
Rating: Summary: This Girl Wants To Play Daisy Duke??? Review: First off let me just say I honestly tried to like this film. I wasn't able to see it at the theatre because they quit showing it after two days, so I had to rent it. Even though I think Britney is one of the WORST singers ever, I was perfectly willing to give her a chance when it came to acting, despite all the intense, negative reviews critics gave her. So two friends and I rented this film, they got bored within a few minutes and left, but I made myself sit down and watch it. It was agonizing! The film is boring and such a cliche of teen drama. Britney's acting was TERRIBLE and it seemed to me she couldn't figure out who her target audience was, one minute playing innocent, then strutting around in her usual skimpy attire. I feel the whole point of this film was so she could put "acting" on her resume and promote her self titled cd. It seemed to me she wasn't giving much effort on her part either. Instead, like in her music, she's leaving it to someone else to make her a hit. Bad move this time Brit, cinema is different from the music world. My Final Say: If you are a fan, go for this film, it shows plenty of Britney mugging cheesily toward the camera. Maybe you'll even get a kick out of the special features. Anyone else, this film is not for you, unless you like bad films.
Rating: Summary: Pretty good for Britney Review: Britney Spears boomed onto the charts with her No. 1 Grammy-nominated smash "...Baby One More Time" in 1998. Since then she's been a household name and probably the most well-known entertainers in the world, and definitely one of the biggest in history. Miss Spears is not only beautiful but a talented individual no matter how much people say she can't sing; Britney actually can sing...she just doesn't do it LIVE (no wonder with her hyped-up dance moves). Nobody talked about her vocals when she debuted. Britney is a pretty good actress in this coming-of-age teen flick. Though not as touching as Mandy Moore's "A Walk to Remember," she needs to just be in the right film! She rocks in my opinion. Crossroads is ok. 3 out of 5 stars overall but 4 out of 5 because Britney's in it!
Rating: Summary: Crossroads Review: Crossroads DVD ~ Britney Spears is a funny, life affirming movie with Britney doing what Madonna was never able to do. That is, act. She shows that she has quite some tallent and could be a great actress one day...if she so chooses...
Rating: Summary: Do yourself a favor.......... Review: and buy the 1986 film with the same title. Not only is it a better story, it's full of excellent music, and has better musicians in it (Steve Vai)
Rating: Summary: GAG! Review: There's a reason why aspirins exist.
After seeing this (I had nothing better to do), I reached for a bottle of Tylenol.
I thought that this movie was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I've never liked Britney Spears, and I never will, and seeing this movie made it even worse! She can't act at all, and the story line lacked...well, everything. Personally, she needs to stick to something she's good at, and it's definitely not acting and singing.
