Summary: "Two Thumbs Up!!"
Review: I saw this movie about one thousand times and ready to see it one thousand and one.It was a great movie to see.It is a good movie because the people in that storie weren't the same Samantha's parents were divorced,Teeny's parents were always having parties and not ever paying attention to her,Roberta's mom had died and she had 3 brothers and a dad,and of course there was Chrissy and her mother was a neat freak.well it was the Summer of 1970' and of course it was war with the "Wormers".All the time they were fighting, for years they were fighting and also years to come. They always did say-ons and thought they brought someone back from the dead but they didn't and they stoped doing it.Well I don't want to ruin the storie for you so rent it at the nearest movie store near you!!!!!!!!!!!!!Tell me what you think of my review write me at Olivia143@webtv.net

Summary: An all time great, popular with young and old
Review: Now and Then is one of those films that you absolutely have to see, especially with your friends. It'll always remind you of what your ideal summer would have been when you were twelve, with all of your friends. Brilliant acting played by the four girls in particular, with a good supporting cast also.

Summary: One of my favourite movies - if not THE favourite
Review: Now and Then is one of my all time favourite movies. Even though I had my friendships much later on in the 70's, it reminds me so much of the adventures that I had, the boys I had crushs on, the town's spooky citizens and even a little mystery. The story shows the strength of friendships through thick and thin and shows that real friends are there when you need them the most.

See it!

Summary: "Now and Then" is a good, solid childhood drama!
Review: Let's take you for a ride down memory lane-about, say, 1970. A summer when a lot was going on in America-but four twelve-year-old best friends have made their summer the time of their lives, and they have also made something else-a pact. A promise that they would reunite when they needed eachother. And twenty years later, the time has come. One of the girls is expecting a baby, and from then on, it's all for one and one for all! Not only does it have an all-star cast, but "Now and Then" is a wonderful, touching coming-of-age drama that is definitely worth watching!!!

Summary: Good for Girls!
Review: In this film four women get together to celebrate the upcoming birth of a new baby and start reminiscing the last summer of thier 'childhood'. In the summer of 1970, the four girls explore the death of a young boy, that died years before they were born. The girls learn more about themselves then anything else. Great performances by the young stars. This is the perfect movie for slumber parties, as long as there is some Kleenex around! This 'coming of age' film is excellent. It makes you really appreciate the friendships that you have, at any age, and that there is nothing better than your own 'girlfriends'! Great film for 'mother and daughter time' for those girls 10 and up!

Summary: Stand By Me for girls
Review: Has anyone else noticed that all good coming-of-age films take place in the era of the Vietnam War? The turbulent times make for good cinema, even if the movie never deals directly with the war. In fact, the only reference to 'Nam in this film is a brief cameo by Brendan Fraser, as a disillusioned soldier.
This film is full of clever, meaningful quotes. They often seem cheesy, but when taken into actual considerations, the messages in this film are truly inspiring.
In the suburbs of thew early 1970's, four girls live and breath for eachother. There is the sensitive and curious Samantha (Gaby Hoffman), and her precocious best friend Teeny (Thora Birch), who is in a hurry to grow up. Their unlikely companions are the tough tomboy Roberta (Christina Ricci), and the innocent but insecure Chrissy (Ashleigh Aston Moore). After a seance in the cemetary, they embark on the adventure that will inevitably claim the end of their childhood.
All four of the girls give decent performances. The script is witty, and the soundtrack is wonderful. It's sentimental candy, that will most be enjoyed by women.
