Summary: Return to Me
Review: This movie touched me on so many levels, it was funny, it was heart warming and it was entertaining. The electricity between David and Minnie was intense. The resturant family were gut busting funny. I would love to see it again.

Summary: Worth a Return Trip
Review: 'Return to Me' is an honest and beliveable film, with an unbeliveable twist at it's heart (pardon the pun). Bonnie Hunt has done something that seems impossible: made an excellent film without cynicsm, without meaness, and without insulting the viewers' intelligence. This movie is incredibly sweet, but never becomes sappy or mawkish. The characters she has created are fully realized human beings, not sterotypes, and you can tell she cares about every single one of them. The supporting cast is excellent, and the extended family they create for Grace (Minnie Driver) and, eventually, Bob (David Duchovny) is full of love, support and hope. I can't recall a film where the love - both friendly and familial - between a younger and older generation was portrayed so well. Minnie Driver portrays Grace as introverted and shy, but with and underlying strength that keeps her from becoming a shrinking violet. David Duchovny proves that he is far more than Fox Mulder, completely inhabiting the roll of Bob Rueland - a man who has never really known loss until his wife dies, and he just can't figure out how to move on. This movie was sheer joy to watch, and I can't wait to see it again.

Summary: Simple, but sweet
Review: Thoroughly predictable yet completely enjoyable, Return to Me provides a pleasant escape from today's movies of sex and violence. Although the beginning scenes are rather abrupt and the editing uneven, once the background is laid out, the movie moves along very nicely. A sentimental idea, which the heart returns to the loved one, played out with realistic characters and believable situations. I was impressed with how Ms. Hunt handled the scene where Bob finds out that Grace was the recipient of his late wife's heart and that Grace was not threatened by Bob's involvement fulfilling his late wife's dreams. I agree with a previous reviewer that while Minnie Driver and David Duchovny play their parts with heart (no pun intended) and sincerity, it is really the supporting cast who shines. Grace's relationship with her best friend, masterfully played by Bonnie Hunt, and Carroll O'Conner's banter with his barfly cronies proved more poignant than the romance between Grace and Bob. Given the sentimental subject matter, Bonnie Hunt has succeeded in producing a lighthearted romantic comedy with minimal schmaltz.

Summary: "What was God thinking?"
Review: One of my favorite lines from this enjoyable romance film was delivered by Minnie Driver after realizing she has the transplanted heart of her new Beau's (Duchovny) dead wife. While there were some syrupy lines throughout the piece, and a rather drawn-out first act, I felt this refreshing date movie broke the mold on two fronts: one, it kept a remarkably relaxed pace while many directors would have made mincemeat of the film in the editing room; two, it never felt the need to force mean characters or evil behaviors into the script just for a better story - these were endearing (and believable) characters trying to do the right thing.

Also, if you've ever lived in Chicago, this movie paints a captivating picture of this big city with a big heart (no pun intended).

Summary: return to me
Review: Truly enjoyed this film. Very entertaining and captivating after a rather slow start. My wife said it best when she said she had never laughed and cried so much at one movie. Highly recommend seeing it.

Summary: Guts and Giggles
Review: A great blend of funny and sweet. Takes on the big topics of love, life and death with a little magic, a lot of romance and a healthy helping of giggles. Great ensemble work supports the main character plot -- it feels like real family. I also liked that they let you figure out the jokes. (Anyone used to watch Red Shoe Diaries?) Worth a full price ticket - even if you bring a date and go to dinner first!

Summary: What a match!
Review: I thought that the movie was absolutely adorable! The chemistry between Mini Driver and David Duchovney was so believable. Love the "dry" senses of humor they both exude.

Summary: It was a delightful, heartwarming movie.
Review: It was a delightful, heartwarming movie. Gentle. Nice to see two people's affections shared without the graphic sex. Minnie Driver was wonderful as always, but needed a stronger leading man. David Duchovny was sort of one-dimensional. Liked the "grandpas". They were a hoot. Overall the movie is good fare , 3 stars.

Summary: There's something for everybody...
Review: The movie has several strong characters, which made it very enjoyable to watch. The movie is romantic and funny. Even when the end is predictable from the very first scenes, the journey is interesting enough to keep watching.

Summary: COMEDY..... ROMANCE.....I PREDICT A HIT!
Review: I absolutely loved this movie! The story and the characters are so true to life that they draw you into their lives very quickly. The casting is superb! I never would have imagined the actors portraying the two lead charcaters (David Duchovny and Minnie Driver) together, but they work so well! The supporting cast is dynamic. I especially loved the realistic portrayal of family life between Bonnie Hunt and James Belushi. Robert Loggia and Carroll O' Conner were hilarious.

The story is cleverly written and witty. I laughed so hard I cried. A great job by Bonnie Hunt as Director/Writer.

This movie reminds me of "Sleepless in Seattle" (one of my all-time favorites) with its truly touching story in which two people are brought together by chance.

Truly romantic....truly wonderful! I highly recommend it!
