Review: ya know what makes this movie excellent? its just so ORIGINAL! was anyone else thinking "a night to remember" when they saw titanic? does "mighty joe young" REALLY need to be released again? but this movie, as far as i know, is one of a kind, and that makes it great... dont miss this one!

Review: I'm not normally a fan of Jim Carrey, due to his seemingly one-sided character. However, this movie proved me wrong! I love this movie and plan to buy it the minute it's available to have in my library. Excellent plot concept, and yes, the role does appear to be made for Carrey!

Review: I loved this movie. From the subtle way it lures the viewer into believeing it's just a film to the startling realization that our lives have in essence become mini-Truman Shows, the film gives us an entertaining yet horrifying glimpse at our world. I can't wait for the DVD!!

Review: Okay, so how is "The Truman Show" the perfect movie? Let's go down the list. Every actor gives an amazing performance, the whole family can watch this without getting sick of it, the entire score is brilliantly composed, the camera work is unlike any other film... ever, you pick up something new every time you watch it, and even if the ending doesn't leave you in a puddle of joyful tears, it'll still force a smile from your lips and an overwhelming desire to say, "Good afternoon, good evening, and good night!"

Review: Where can I begin? Every aspect of the movie is fantastic. The gradual way in which we see Truman dawning on the truth is wonderful. And Carey...He IS this role, it is as if it was written for him. The product placing gags are soooooo funny too. I strongly recomend this film, '98's best with out a doubt.

Review: This movie has several layers and is a flick that leaves you thinking deeply about it - days after you've seen it. Truman *thought* he was afraid to travel, but that was not a true or legitimate fear. In subtle ways, he'd been TAUGHT to be afraid of travel. And in overcoming his false fears, he found true freedom and he saw his life's limitations fall away. Only when we rail against and overcome our own false fears can we discover the true substance and meaning of life. *That's* the message I saw in Truman.
