Summary: The American President
Review: The American President is an excellent movie. Unfortunately the processing of this movie into DVD is in my opinion pretty poor. The audio is OK but the video has several noisy scenes and some which are virtually unwatchable. I honestly think that the VHS tape is easier to watch. I hope that the studio takes this hint and reprocesses this classic movie into something which someone will want to collect. I'm sending my copy back for a refund.

Summary: ...and the presidents daughter...
Review: This was an average film. It is one of those 'what if' movies.I liked Michael Douglas & Annette Benning but in particular Shawna Waldron who plays his 13yr old daughter. She was snappy intelligent but not precocious, features not too prominent in child actors today. Robert Redfords daughter in 'Legal Eagles' also had the same personality.Nobody likes smart kids. Otherwise a non descript movie.Next time I'll wait for the video.

Summary: The American President
Review: The American President is beutifully cast. Each actor/actress preforms there role as if the roles were written for these people. The writers also did a wonderful job in this movie this is the first movie that I've seen in along time that I didn't find myself wondering "What were they thinking."

Summary: Enjoyable Comedy That Tugs At Your Heart
Review: I absolutely love this movie. It is a classic, well-acted comedy that has a touch of drama and can tug at your heart. Michael Douglas and Annette Bening are terrific together! The chemistry can be felt by the viewer. With romance and business combined, it gives a nice glance at what could be true difficulties for a president looking for love. And I love that there is hardly any swearing. Just a great movie!

Summary: The Best Movie Ever
Review: The movie content was a very good. It also had a very good storyline. It was like drama. Which it is . I wish that they had made a sequel to it. But I still can smile and cry each time I see it.

Summary: Worst DVD Transfer To Date
Review: It's hard to imagine how a DVD transfer could have been worse. Considering it is a dual-layer disk there is absolutely no excuse for the poor quality (artifacts, HUGE pixelation problems, etc.) and lack of extra features. I guess it didn't make sense to show a couple of guys in a dirty lab holding up a DV camcorder while the movie played as a "Making of The American President DVD"...

Summary: One of my favorites1
Review: This is one of my favorite mocies for a couple of reasons. The first one is that I am a hopeless romantic and the other is my husband enjoyed it as well for the comedy in it. there is very little swearing and no skin scenes! I lost mt first copy and had to order another one!

Summary: The best in the category, ever!
Review: I don't think I'll ever see a movie as good as this. It definitely has EVERYTHING this kinda movie is supposed to have. I've seen in over ten times, and I still have the same commitment, smile, warm feeling and joy every single time I see it. Great actors, wonderful story, great ending, great enviroment, great caracthears. It's just great. Simple as that. See it, it doesn't get better than this!!

Summary: Great story......disappointing DVD!
Review: Everyone knows this is a terrific movie! Those of us who are also DVD fans have waited a couple of years for this to appear on DVD. What a let down!! Rob, where are you man!!!

This a poor transfer with lots of artifacts and someone trying too hard to sharpen the image. To make matters worse this disc has very limited extras. Ok, it's out so let's move to the "collector's edition" so Warner can get a few more bucks and we can get a disc more worthy of this great movie!!
