Rating: Summary: The most awesome movie ever Review: Wow! What a story!I have been reading the Left Behind books for over two years now, and I have been EXTREMELY impressed with them. Never have I read such an intriguing and amazing story. I have read other end-time stories, but none like this one. So, when I found out there was going to be a movie, I was excited, but a bit afraid that they would mess up the story, the characters, but most importantly, the message. I decided that judging the characters' acting ability, based on their looks, was a pretty faulty judgment system. I decided that, if they played the part well, I would forgive their "falling short" in the looks department. Well, on Sunday the 15th, I was in for a big surprise. Never have I seen actors who portrayed the parts in a book SO WELL. The plot was excellently written, the directing, the acting, the emotion, drama, everything - was absolutely incredible. The message is very powerful. I would take any of my unsaved friends to this movie and not be ashamed of it.
Rating: Summary: Simply Anointed Review: My wife began reading these books a year or so ago, and I knew they were good, but I simply never thought to read them myself. We aquired the Dramatic Audio edition of Left Behind and I was mesmerized. I have always been a student of prophecy and end time events, so I was of course very moved and excited. After completing the other 6 books currently released in a little over a month, I found myself totally committed to the characters and emotionally and spiritually connected to this story. I am so looking forward to this movie release, not because I feel the directors and producers will be artistically correct, or that the actors will put on an Oscar winning performance, but because the writers and people involved are anointed of God. Even if the acting is horrible, you still cannot keep from being moved by the Holy Spirit while watching. I went to a Left Behind convention here in Dallas on October 17th, and Kirk Cameron was there with his wife, and Clay Crosse, and Bob Carlisle, and Russ Lee, and Amy WIlliams, and Jake. And it was tremendous! They showed about 1/4 of the movie there, and it was simply great! Anyway, I am looking forward to this DVD, and may you know Christ more deeply from this experience.

Rating: Summary: I HAVE seen it....it's not bad (2.5 stars) Review: I got to see it...it's not bad. I have NOT read the book, which certainly colors my impression. Typically, that works in favor of any film based on a book. I suspect had I read the novel, I might have a stronger opinion. I was most concerned about Kirk Cameron overacting (if you've seen any episode of "Growing Pains"--'nuff said), but he was composed and mature in the roll. The special effects featured in the first 20 minutes of the movie were very (almost below) average--as audiences get more sophisticated, it's getting harder to fool us. By that I mean the CGI looked like CGI. From what I understand about the other books in the series, the need for additional special effects will only increase. The budget will have to keep up. The plot moved along at an acceptable pace, but I was never on the edge of my seat. When the film ended, there was never a doubt that a sequel would be made-that makes sense in light of the book series and the brisk pre-orders this title is enjoying. Would I pay $7 to see it again in 3 months at the theater? Sorry, but no. Owning the video (I saw a friends copy) would make forking up more $ even more painful. I understand the "video-to-theater strategy." I simply don't think it will work. Perhaps I am not sufficiently tapped into the Left Behind series and their zealous fan base. Time will tell-but I do wish them luck. The bottom line? It's not bad and the books message is delivered in a easy to digest manner. Limit it to the 12+ crowd as the topic will only confuse the kiddies. A personal note to Cloud Ten (the producers)-good call to NOT cast Nick Mancuso...again. You'll know what I mean when you see the trailers at the start of the film!
Rating: Summary: I Can't Wait To See This Movie! Review: I'm already a HUGE fan of the books, and from what I've heard from a friend who was fortunate enough to preview it, it's AWESOME!!! I encourage EVERYONE to give this movie a chance; IT'S WORTH IT!!! God bless, Kristen
Rating: Summary: An Amazing End to an Amazing movie! Review: Wow! Try to get your hands on this video if you can! If not, then rush to the Theater's on Feb. 2nd, 2001 to see this amazing movie. Seeing is beliving once you see this thiller that shocks you. Millions of people disapear from the earth. One man to take control (Gorden Currie), one man to stop Him (Kirk Cameron). You would never exspect such wonderful acting by all these actors, but it seems that these actors really belive they are leaving out the movie as it comes alive before your eyes. They take a few un-knowns, and give them staring roles, just like George Lucas' style. This movie will chill you, thrill you, and even have you at the edge of your seat. Although, it dose get slow at some times, stick it out and watch one of the best car exsposion sceans I have ever seen in any movie. Good vs. Evil is just the begining, as it turns out to be one man agenst a whole world. This movie has a wonderful music score, and it's music is compared to Jurissic Park. The small 17 million dollar budget, is amazing! The movie seems to have as much money as End of Days, and it might even take on a brand new Holywood star, Kirk Cameron! Or also the unknown; Janaya Stephens. I must say to stick this movie out, you can't really judge it until you have seen the whole thing. This movie has the most amazing end to any movie and I highly recomend the movie, just because of the surpriseing, breath taking end! Truley amazing! Amazind end, to an amazing movie!
Rating: Summary: Great Story Review: I have yet to see the movie but I have read all the books in the series that have currently been released. The story (not the writing) is great. I have always been a fan of Biblical prophecy and this book, as well as the movie I would have to assume, is all about the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation. Starting with Christ's Rapture of his church the book lives up to it's title in the first chapter while the rest of the series unfolds to tell the story of the main characters, good and evil, and their trials during the tribulation period that will ensue during the End Times. I have seen several extended previews for this movie and what I have seen looks good. The only problems I have seen so far are perhaps the actors, most of which I have never heard. I hope they will do their parts justice. Also, I hate to see story lines changed in the book to movie transition and I have already noticed several of these changes. I do look forward to seeing this movie but I would suggest that anyone who wants to see it should read the novels first if they have not already done so. If the movie is not as good as it is hyped to be then at least you will enjoy it more being that it is the visualization of a good book.
Rating: Summary: A sightful movie about the end days Review: Based on the best seller series, Left Behind is a sightful movie about the end days. The producers in cooperation with Tim Lahaye/Jerry B. Jenkins bring you a movie about hopes and fears. I've noticed from the start that this DVD will rock the world. As one of the best christian movie ever made, it reminds us that we have little time to act. It answers so many questions that people often ask. I found the book to be very enticing and if the book is good, the movie is better, especially on DVD. This movie brings all the facts, all the revelations, and all the struggle in one action-filled adventure to eternity. If you're a christian, you will find this movie fulfilling and if you're not a christian, then watch it anyways because it makes you ask the big question, "Is God really there?"
Rating: Summary: Can't wait to see it. Review: It is difficult to review a movie you have not seen yet, but John Hagans showed excerpts from it on his TV ministry Sunday, September 3. Kirk Cameron is Cameron Williams. Nicholae was not as I had pictured him. I expected some one more physically fit and attractive, with much more charisima. The story line in his review focused more on "Buck Williams" than it did on Rayford Holt whom I perceived to be the main character. Perhaps the actual movie will give equal time to all the characters as the book did. Not likely, however because of the producers. There is a lot of music which did not seem to fit the story line. It will be interesting to see how it all fits together. I would like for the movie to stick to the book as closely as possible. What could be more intense than being on an airplane with many people dissappearing. Our sunday school class has been studying Revelation and some of us have read most of the books. Even though they are fiction, the writing is scripturally based and it helps to be able to visualize what will take place after the rapture. Next to the bible itself, this series has gotten more attention from christians and non-christians alike than any books I can remember. (opinion) I am anxiously awaiting the next book in the series and the video "Left Behind". I hope to share the video with a family member who needs to wake up and realize that time is short.
Rating: Summary: the book, to the movie. Review: Hi. I havn't seen the movie (obvisly it won't be out untill 2001)But the book is graet so I'm sure the movie will be graet too. I have heard of changes like always in a book turned movie, a few are, what's his name from the scotland yard will now be an FBI agent in new york. And some parts will be cut out. and the movie starts out in the Steele house, insted of on the plane like the book. For the people who haven't read the book READ IT! or at least watch the movie. it would be worth it, call it soul saving, if you wish.
