Summary: My favorite Radley Metzger film!
Review: Ignore the "Video Description" above! They obviously missed the point of this movie. (It should read: "A happily married young couple make a sport of introducing their frustrated neighbors to the joys of sexual liberation.")A carefree story with plenty of wit and eroticism thrown in, this film beautifully captures the spirit of the 70's "Sexual Revolution." Unlike so many other "adult" films of the time (and even some made today), this story really does have, *something for everyone.* All taboos are obliterated--with no consequences other than joy. Based on a successful play, the script remains sharp and well-paced. Score also has excellent cast; including the legendary Cal Culver (best known as Casey Donovan), who had recently finished Boys in the Sand (reportedly what convinced Metzger to have him cast as "Eddie" in Score). Radley Metzger is an amazing filmmaker, and Score showcases all the techniques that have kept him in a class by himself. Buy this video! Otherwise, you'll just spend a fortune on rental fees!

Summary: heavily cut
Review: It shouldn't be bought, not because is bad but because is heavily censored - some 30 min missing - and because those people they beleive they have the right to treat the customer like an ignorant and immature child should take a message. It is offending to our intelingence and dignity to be supervised by an invisible censor who desides before us , for us what is good to see and what is not. Myself i don't accept to be treated like that and i encourage everybody to avoid buying censored products as offencive to our intelingence and that of the creator artist. Is a phaenomenon that should be eliminated and it will be if our behaviour as customers is sensitive. Apart from that is of a little importance if the film is good or not. Yes it is ! so what?

Summary: Too bad, it so severely censored.
Review: Ok, so it looks like we all have seen the Original version at the metzger retrospective, what a beautiful print that was. This dvd has awful sound and picture, and is horribly cut. Hopefully a company with, dare I say it? BALLS, will release this film UNCUT. Cause I have never seen anything like it, and probably never will again, unless they release a REAL dvd of this movie!

Review: Score is the best Radley Metzger film - way ahead of its time. Unfortunately, the current DVD and VHS versions have over 30 deleted scenes in the last reel. The music jumps and scenes are sometimes badly edited. This editing was unnecessary - if it was OK in 1972, then why not now?

Review: The reason that SCORE is a classic is because it is highly erotic, has a good story, great acting and is set in something other than a cheap motel room. It may be 1972 vintage, the DVD may have been chopped in the editing but this movie IS a timeless fun, masterpiece that was probably pretty racy back in the early seventies. The seduction scenes in this movie are stupendous and even has Elivra, Jack's swinging wife, use poppers in her seduction of the young newlywed. Under superb direction the movie flows and paints a very non-judgmental tale of seductionand submission to deeply rooted and previously repressed desires .. It's a classic because it's great and you'll have fun watching it with someone special ... if ya kno what I mean ..

Review: This film is amazingly well made and great fun to watch. A young couple are seduced by a bisexual pair, Jack and Elvira, who do this sort of thing for fun. Good cinematography, a great, if a slightly bizarre, musical score, and sexual situations designed to appeal to everyone's sexual preference

Summary: A Marvelous Comedy of Manners
Review: Yes, the "video description" is completely off. The 'young couple,' Jack and Elvira, are completely satisfied with each other -- but they love the thrill of the chase, and seduction is their game. They compete with one another at it, and as the movie opens the score is tied. The story takes place over the course of a day and a night, as the sophisticated Jack and Elvira set their sights on wide-eyed innocents Betsy and Eddie, with hilarious results. Clever dialogue, attractive actors and a wonderfully farcical plot are enough to make one overlook the really terrible background music! Imagine "Les Liaisons Dangereuses" with a sense of humor and a heart -- "Score" might very well be seen as a Restoration drama in modern dress, or undress as the moment calls for.
