Summary: Viddy well this real horrorshow flick!
Review: This is one of Kubrick's most horrorshow achievements! Although the old ultra-violence is very plocho, the cinematography glosses it over and what you see is pure gorgeousness and gorgeosity made flesh! So viddy viddy well, my brothers!

Summary: Bunch O' Clockwork masterpiece
Review: This is the greatest film that has ever been made, I first heard about a clockwork orange when i was about 13 and it lit a fire that would only be quenched when I was to 'viddy' a 'real horrowshow' pirate version of the film. It isn't that violent but the ideas are there, there are elements of politics, pyschology, philosophy that no film has ever even come close to, and it is shot with so much style and finesse that it envelops you into a fictional world which is not to close, to unfortunately becoming a reality. In short, you have to see this film.

Summary: Remarkable
Review: A Clockwork Orange has been banned in the UK for the last 25 years (at Kubrick's behest) and only now has it been re-released here following his death. It is indeed a masterpiece and one of the most original and disturbing films I have ever seen; superbly acted and directed. My only quibble is that the rape scenes seem gratuitous and unpleasant; they are presented almost humorously by Kubrick which, despite the film's otherwise immense quality, is unforgivable. This does not really justify his withdrawal of it from British audiences for the last 2 and a half decades, however.

Summary: Gorgeousness and Gorgeousity Made Flesh
Review: This is the single most brilliant film ever made. Anyone who says otherwise is too brainwashed to watch it. Kubrick was an absolute genius in the style of the movie. Even though it is filled with violence and sex, there is only one a single swear word in the entire movie. All of the rest of the dialogue is in a beautifully poetic jargon created by Burgess. It is also a allusion to Plato's allagory of the cave, in how Alex can not face the world after his ability to act in a way that is natural to him. The most important thing to remimber when watching this movie is to have an open mind. If you truely do, then your mind will stay open forever.

Summary: Class of Clockwork
Review: This Dvd just proves that Kubrick is the master of all the masters. Clockwork Orange will affect you in a way no movie will ever affect you. The graphics are great and the soundtrack is easily the best soundtrack ever made for a film. Mcdowell couldn`t play Alex any better and if you don`t enjoy this film I will give you £10.

Summary: The Most Harrowing of 'Horrorshows'....
Review: This is beyond question Kubrick's Magnum Opus. If there was ever a more brutal and disturbing vision of the "near future" I have yet to see it ... Many faint of heart or excessively prudish film-goers might condemn this landmark film for it's graphic treatment of rape and "ultra-violence".... but this was Kubrick's main intent ...to traumatize the viewer in to meaningful discussion about the direction modern society was (and is) heading. I will NEVER forget the first time I saw this mindblower back in 1972. It literally blew me away. I couldnt stop thinking about some of those imfamous scenes for weeks. For anyone who has yet had the pleasure, be ready for quite a psyche-shock...I promise you...you'll never be the same again.....

Summary: Fantastic Adaptation of a Truly Prophetic Novel
Review: This is one of the most vibrant, unsettling films ever brought to the screen. A fantastic adaptation of Anthony Burgess's truly prophetic novel. Fear of government overshadowing, of the apathy of teenagers, and the rising prevailance of violence in society all meld together to form this juggernaut of film making. Considering the date of its initial release A Clockwork Orange was quite ahead of the times. The visual medium that is film has hardly been used so aptly as social commentary. Michael McDowell's performance is one of the most memorable in Hollywood history. Read the book, watch the movie, and enjoy every disturbing, ultraviolent second!
