Summary: It is an excellent classic of Cleopatra and the Roman Empire
Review: Taylor and her co-stars greatly recreated a piece of ancient history. The story is filled with love, betrayal, conquest, friendship, and death. It is an excellent movie that everyone needs to see!

Summary: BORING!!!!!!!!
Review: I Studied Cleopatra for my history class and i recently saw this Movie. While it was pretty accurate historically, i thought that it completly failed to bring Cleopatra to life. Rex harrison was pretty good as Caesar, and Burton was ok as Antony, but Taylor was terrible as Cleopatra! Also, the movie should have been called Caesar and Mark Antony and how Cleopatra affected them. Also, Cleopatra was ugly, why can't people accept this?

Summary: The reason Egypt has been my outstanding passion.
Review: My parents took me to see Cleopatra when I was a toddler. I still remeber the impact the entire movie had on me. As a result, Egyptology has been my major hobby. What a great film!

Summary: Sensational!!!!
Review: This movie is sensational! All of the scenary and brilliant costumes (esp. Cleopatra's) were most becoming. The scenary and the acting were terrific. Elizabeth Taylor is perfect for Cleopatra.

Summary: This movie was awesome!
Review: This movie was very, very good it had an awesome cast, such as Taylor, Burton, etc., but my favorite, and all time best actor was the always wonderful Roddy Mcdowall, he is the best actor ever, he is so good in this movie, its like you can feel his happiness, and his anger, even his pain, he captures your heart in this movie with the role of Ceasar Octavian, he is so fit for that part, know he is acting in heaven, we will miss him, but his memory will always live on in the hearts of his fans, and through his movies, man is he an awesome actor!

Summary: Excellent!!!
Review: I saw this movie one day on TV, the next day I ordered it. And I watch it at least every week. It's totally impowering, Elizabeth Taylor is divine, and the entire cast fits so well into the plot that you will feel you've traveled back in time. The script is excellent, and the screenplay is out-of-this-world. A movie made will before it's time. Get it ;)

Summary: A very good movie. I really recommend it
Review: I would really recommend it to the fans of historical epics, and to those who love good films. After hearing so much about it, I expected it to be a lavish costume spectacle with astonishing and opulent sets (which it is) and nothing more. However, it also has intelligent script, more historical accuracy than Cecil B DeMille's movie, good actors (especially Rex Harrison's Caesar), and a gripping love story with a magic chemistry between Taylor and Burton. I reccomend it. It is much more than another costume drama. END

Summary: Taylor & Burton Epic
Review: Cleopatra is one of the most infamous movies in Hollywood history. Stars Richard Burton & Elizabeth Taylor first started their on again, off again relationship on the set, there were numerous production problems, Joseph L. Mankiewitz left as the director before the shooting was complete and dozens of other problems plagued the film. At the time it was the most expensive film ever made, but was a major dud at the box office. In fact the back story to Cleopatra in many ways is more interesting than the movie itself. This 3 disk special edition provides you with a healthy dose of the intriguing behind the scenes information included a documentary that appeared on AMC that is outstanding. The film itself is magnificent to look at, with impressive sets and incredible detail. The acting is pretty good too, with the elegant Rex Harrison standing out as Julius Caesar. The film is quite long, clocking in at over four hours, and does tend to drag in certain spots. The overall packaging of Cleopatra is tremendous and worth checking out.

Summary: THE BEST FROM OLD HOLLYWOOD
Review: Although Miss Taylor is no match compared to Vivien Leigh in CAESAR AND CLEOPATRA; this i s by far the best epic from old Hollywood - and the most entertaining..... Enough said. Ok, I can`t shut up; the arrival of Cleopatra into Rome is a masterpiece in itself... and the choreography is by the renowned Hermes Pan:-)
