Review: I bought 3 of them thinking to use them as my WMA player thoughout my house. The product description is wrong. The player does not support WMA playback nor does it have a VGA output nor does it have a USB port. I will be keeping these units since it does playback any DVD+-R media I throw at it.

Review: I really liked this player, but it doesn't have the advertised USB Port or VGA Output. I had great plans for the VGA Output....lol

But it is a nice player for the price, I have played several DVDs without a hitch. It looks nice and comes with a digital display, which is unheard of in a player of this price range.

So even though it didn't have VGA Output; the primary reason I chose this unit. I still liked it enough to give it 4 Stars.

Summary: Surprisingly Good
Review: I've been holding out on buying a DVD player for a long time since my computer has a DVD drive already. (...). Yes, a couple of reviews before gripe about how this player doesn't have RCA 5.1 (Hey - this player is cheap!) and it seems a little awkward to put in a DVD (the tray pops out about 97% of the way, with 3% of the circle that holds the DVD unexposed and inside the DVD player) but you know what? It took all of 7 minutes to plug it in and make it connect to my TV/VCR/Stereo/PS2 setup, it plays my DVDs, and it even plays my VCDs (even though there's no mention of VCD playback capability in the manual or the box it came in). It's really slim (1.25" height) and fits nicely stacked on my VCR, under my PS2, so I am very happy with my purchase (...). So if you're some kind of stereophile or videophile that must have all the latest options and gizmos even from an inexpensive DVD player, then this one isn't for you. However, if you just want your DVDs, CDs, VCDs, and MP3 CDs to play, then this is a very good deal.

Review: Slim dvd player, but it's not comfortable for removing and placing a cd or dvd in the tray.
It plays dvd, cd, vcd,mp3 but not svcd. Better to buy cyberhome ch-300 instead of this malata dvd player.

Summary: Grrreat Little DvD player. . .
Review: This is a dandy little device - Set-up was quick and easy and I was playing a DVD within 5 minutes of opening the box. This machine has great features for the price, and seems well-made.
Another reviewer has commented that the tray does not fully extend -- while this may be unconventional, it is still easy to insert and remove discs, so I don't see this as a problem. The weak point is the remote, which is not as responsive as it could be; you need to very firmly depress the small keys. Overall, I'm very pleased with the value of this DVD player.

Summary: Good player for the price
Review: This is a player with very nice features for the price. It has a built-in counter/display, which most of the other cheap players omit. Having both types of digital output is useful. I also like the slim design. It seems to play every type of dvd media quite nicely. It will not play any .avi or .mpg files on either dvd or cd. It may play vcd's, but I don't have any of those. One feature that I like is that it will play mp3's from a dvd-r, and there are no restrictions on the number of files in a folder either. Very nice. That way you can play music for a couple of days nonstop without having to swap disks... The remote is better than most of the low end competition, both ergonomically and in terms of available functions.
