Description:

DVD-audio offers the 192kHz/24-bit format for the highest fidelity consumers have ever experienced. To make its DVD player compatible with high quality audio systems, JVC developed a new version of its 1-bit P.E.M. D/D (Pulse Edge Modulation Differential-Linearity-Errorless D/A) converter. This converter is touted by media reviewers and audiophiles as one of the most accurate and musical 1-bit D/A converters available. An improved noise shaper (VANS) is compatible with DVD's superfidelity format. As a result, the XV-D723 boasts an extra-wide 108 dB dynamic range.

The JVC DVD player's picture quality is also exceptional. Pictures on DVDs are normally recorded in 24 frame-per-second format, as on film. When they are played back on a conventional interlaced screen, images can flicker or blur. But JVC's direct progressive scan turns the 24 fps format directly into the 60 fps format for display on TV with no intervening steps. The result is high-resolution images that are stable and sharp.

Moreover, the high-speed 54 MHz video D/A converter oversamples the progressive scan pictures to ensure truer-to-the-original images with minimum loss. The VFP (Video Fine Processor) enables balanced sharpness and noise-reduction effects. And component-video outputs deliver the most accurate colors and optimum balance.

In terms of versatility, the XV-D723 comes complete with Dolby Digital/DTS decoders for compatibility with the latest home theater sound systems. Complete the system with a 5.1-channel speaker system and a receiver setup, and the best performance in home theater is yours.

A user-friendly GUI (Graphical User Interface) eases operations with onscreen setting and adjustment. The Digest, Zoom, Angle, and Strobe functions make the XV-D723 fun to use. A multibrand remote control with shuttle dial lets you operate TVs from other makers, as well as from JVC.

Finally, the power supply, digital, and analog sections are physically separated throughout to minimize interference and degradation of both audio and video signals.

The player comes with a remote control, audio-video cables, S-video cables, and is covered by a warranty of one-year on parts and 90 days on labor.
