Summary: Just got this yesterday.....
Review: ...And it really seems to be incredible. One of the main reasons that I bought it was because I wanted a nice dvd player that would look nice with my tv, and I wasn't disappointed. I have not tried CDR/CDRW/MP3 on it yet, but will soon, so I can't judge that. But from the dvd movies I've seen, the player shows them beautifully, with superb audio. Also, I just wanted to comment that this player has one of the best dvd menus for configuration that I've seen. I own both a Toshiba SD-2105 and a RCA RC5910P, but they don't really even compare save for the ability to have numerous discs in, not to mention that they have terrible loading times. This unit is stylish, and the only thing I would change about it would be the remote .. It does its job perfectly well, but I just wished it was silver to match the player.

Summary: Basic , but good.
Review: A basic machine that is easy to set up and operate. Looks good in silver. I bought it because of the Panasonic's reputation for reliability, the fact that it can play CD-Rs and CD-RWs, and the jog/shuttle dial. Videos look fine and audio sounds OK. I can live without the on-board decoders and limited connectivity on the back, but bookmark, CD text and preview features would have been nice to have. Well built despite its light weight and flimsy looking disc drawer. Quiet operation and the cinema mode works well. I suspect Panasonic has built-in quality, rather than a lot of features.

Review: After 6 months (....)I'm getting "H02" errors on every DVD. Time for the maintenance depot. Stay away from this defected DVD Player!!!

Summary: excellent value, great quality
Review: After doing quite a lot of research, this seemed to me like the best DVD player I could get for [the price] that would still give me a decent amount of features and excellent quality picture/sound. This final aspect was the most important to me: I'm yet to use this machine for MP3 or CD-R playback yet, and I don't have a surround sound or Dolby set up - but the quality of this machine is still great - most DVD pictures look immaculate, and the sound is impressive too. I've had zero problems or errors with this machine at all - it's been very reliable. It's fairly easy to set-up and use (I'd recommend using S-Video connection if you can), and my only quibbles are:
(a) not having a screensaver,
(b) the onscreen icons are too small and don't mean much til you get familiar with the machine a little more
(c) my horribly addictive DVD-buying habit :)

Summary: Panasonic's best model!
Review: After several years of trying different players, I keep coming back to this one. I have always strongly preferred Panasonic and Sony as name brands, and this DVD player comes close to the best, most user-friendly player available. It is without a doubt, the best Panasonic unit I have ever come across (including the newer models), and when you factor in the low prices of used ones now that this little gem is no longer in production, you can't go wrong. I have had mine for 1 and 1/2 years and I just purchased another one for the bedroom rather than settle for a newer model.

Review: Bought this dvd player in early May for my girlfriend, and she loves it (and me!) she gets tons of VCDs and it's compatible plus she likes the silver color (same price as the black but much sleeker) can't find this model ANYWHERE. i know Circuit City, The Good Guys, Best Buy dont carry it, it's always sold out at Fry's. Bought it for [low price]! How can you beat that? got to my house in less than a week (originated from Nevada to LA) so far so good.

Review: Compre este dvd-player basado en todos los comentarios y en mi experiencia con equipos electronicos, les puedo decir que es un muy bueno, tiene gran apariencia reproduce los discos exelentemente sin que se queden pegados ,reproduce cds de musica quemados en computadora, reproduce mp3 en fin que mas le puedes pedir a un lector, el sonido es muy bueno tiene efectos simulados de surround. como aspectos negativos personalmente les puedo decir que el control es pequeño y que ademas las canciones de mp3 deben estar obligatoriamente con un nombre de 8 digitos
por que si no el lector divide la cancion en varios pedazos y vas a oir saltos en la cancion. pero en fin de mi parte lo recomiendo montones, el precio es muy bueno aunque aqui en costa rica como siempre nos clavan con los impuestos.

Summary: First DVD Player purchase
Review: Great Product. I have had no problems with it for the last year almost. Can easilty play high FPS Matrix fight scenes without any chopping. The colors are bright, and the black is actually black. I would recommend that you use this player with a Componenent video enabled TV. It plays CDRs, and MP3s without any skipping. Overall very happy with the product.
