Rating: Summary: It's okay, if it's $58.... Review: I bought this the day after thanksgiving when it retailed for $99, but it only cost me about $58 (with the gift certificate I got). I purchased this for the dining room, so I can cook, eat and enjoy the tv. The one thing I noticed upon opening the box was that the control to the tv is abnormally HUGE and UGLY. It's a long, rectangular thing. The control actually has a section where you pull down (kind of like a cell phone), and it reveals some other buttons (I don't know what for). I found it extremely frustrating because I couldn't figure out how to put the batteries in the remote. Now you would think that's a no brainer, take off the section of the back and apply, right? Well, there is no section to pull off! After an hour, yes, an HOUR of trying to figure where the batteries goes, my sister finally pulled off the "thing" that goes down on the remote and there it was. Some BS if you ask me. It doesn't even state in the manual how to put the batteries in. Ok, so I got that down, thank god (you can't configure without the control). So after configuring the channels in, I open the dvd player, and I notice immediately that it's flimsy, the thingy that holds the disk. As it comes out, it is moving, looks like it's going to fall off or something. Make note to be careful with that player, it looks it can become stuck if not handled with care. Anyhow, it plays dvd's great, sound is pretty good, everything is great. Besides the negative comments I had to make, it's overall pretty decent and considering I got it for so cheap, I won't complain much. But I would advise to those who "abuse" their equipment, this isn't for them. That dvd player doesn't look like it'll stand much abuse. I'm very careful with it.
Rating: Summary: Best TV Ever. Review: I have it. Believe me. It plays everything (region 1). Buy it.
