Summary: A Bang For Your Buck
Review: I spent so long comparing this DVD player to many others in the different price field and this totally blew all the competitors out of the water. Setup was a breeze connect the video and audio wire and you are set to watch the movie. This is a great model if you just want a DVD player until the Dvd Players come along that you can record on. Also the Karoke addition is a nice touch...everything about this is five stars!

Summary: Disappointed
Review: I was really excited that I found the GE1101P at such a great price at Wally World (Wal-Mart). I don't usually buy electronics from a store like that, but I took my chances. The player had all the options that I was looking for, so I purchased one. Took it out of the box and hooked it up only to find out that the shuttle did not open. I boxed it up, hassled with the lovely service people at Wally World and took my chances with another one. Hooked that one up and started watching a movie. Half way through the movie I started hearing a clicking sound that sounded like the DVD was bouncing up and down as it spun. I am thinking about returnng it, but a little gun-shy at buying another DVD player. I guess I should just look at it as I am getting what I paid for it.

Summary: Overall great product, but misleading packaging
Review: I've had this dvd player for a long time now (probably about 4 years or so) and it works great. It was cheap at the time i bought it considering all of the features. It still works like new even after 4 years of use, and I practically never turn it off because I'm way too lazy to go up to the thing to press power. It does have some bad things about it though. Like the fact the remote doesn't have a power button kind of pis*es me off. But oh well. Also, it lets customers believe that it's a karaoke machine, when really you can only plug in a mic and sing along, but not play cd+g. It really should say that somewhere in the box or the manual, but still, for the money, that's really all you can expect.

Summary: The GE1101P Works Great.
Review: I've owned this player for a couple of months I haven't run into a DVD,vcd movie or CDR media that this player couldn't play. The MP3 playback works great too.This player has two sets of stereo AV outputs one S-video output & coaxial,optical digital audio outputs. Also there's a dimmer button on the remote for the FL display on the player itself. I've never tried the Karaoke function. This DVD player is made by Shinco

Summary: Excellent Budget DVD Player.
Review: In my opinion, this is the *best* of the low-budget Chinese Made DVD Players, offering excellent picture and sound for DVD's. Also plays mp3's flawlessly (although no shuffle feature) and even has the bonus of full karaoke features! Finally it has coaxial AND optical output (rare on a low price DVD Player). You can't go wrong with this DVD Player. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Review: Looked Great coming out of the box, that's why it got one star. Unfortunately the compartment that you load the DVD in, did not open. Too bad!! I was so excited when it arrived. What a let down!!!

Review: Love this machine...bought it for its karaoke feature with VCDs. Works great! The price is right for the purpose it serves. Make that two purposes... it's also a DVD.

Summary: Didn't Work at All
Review: Much to my dismay I bought this player took it home and plugged it in and found that nothing worked. The display was dimmed and none of the remote functions or front panel functions did ANYTHING. Luckily I got a full-refund. Buyer beware.

Review: My unit does everything it promises. The remote isn't very user friendly, but at this price for these functions, I won't complain. I bought this about half a year ago, and even now, this unit at this price is competitive in the DVD market.

Summary: Great DVD player for the low cost.
Review: So far this has been an excellent DVD player! I have not had any problems out of it and it plays anything I throw in it without a hitch! However, I do not like the fact that the power button is manual (as mentioned by another reviewer), you cannot turn it on or off with the remote, and it does not have an auto-shutoff function if you ever paused or stopped it and left it on. Otherwise it plays perfect and the sound is great!
