Rating: Summary: A must have cool gadget Review: I've had my player for approx 2 months now and couldn't be happier. I have quite a large DVD collection that I finally get to take advantage of thanks to this little marvel. It's so small that I take it with me everywhere. The black finish helps reduce the glare found on the Sharp & Panasonic models. The 7" screen is plenty large enough. With an extra battery you can get up to 7 hours of play back time. A little pricey, but heh, aren't you worth it?
Rating: Summary: Great product - ... Review: I've used my Pioneer portable DVD player a great deal since Ipurchased it on Amazon.com, and have enjoyed it tremendously. It workswell both as a stand-alone player as well as when I hook it up to theTV. It's easy to learn to navigate the buttons and menus, so you'll beable to quickly enjoy all of the features it has to offer. Aftercomparing this model to others on the market, I definitely recommendthis player to anyone who's looking for a portable DVD player.Itravel quite a bit and, although the battery lasts between 3 and 3.5hours, it would be nice to have a backup. ...
Rating: Summary: Awsome Gadget! Review: If you're looking for a portable DVD, this is it! The 7" display is great. Picture is crisp and clear. The sound is ok considering the size of the speakers, but use a good pair of headphones, and you're transported into your own personal theater. I like the controls on the unit, the buttons have a positive "click" to them, and are well laid-out. The on-screen menus are easy to navigate, and the remote control is a cool bonus. After 4 hours of playtime, the unit only gets warm to the touch. The brushed aluminum housing adds to it's high-tech appearance. Everone that sees it, wants to know what it is. Even though its more than what I wanted to spend, I am convinced it was worth the money.
Rating: Summary: Amazing! Review: That thing has an amazing screen, considering the size... Don't know if that's a good thing or not, cause it's no problem picking up the deffects of some of the DVDs. Quite seriously, you don't even have to hook it up to your TV to spend a good time. If you're just by yourself, the 7 inches screen is quite good by itself. The unit is amazingly light without the battery but becomes quite bulky & heavy with them. That's the price to pay for the autonomy, I guess... I love this thing...
Rating: Summary: This is my favorite piece of equipment Review: The LC10 is completely, uterly, hopelessly, rediculously, awesome. It has excellent screen quality, the built in speakers do the job but, I would recomend getting a pair of nice headphones and maybe a headphone jack splitter to use with it. Extra batteries are a little expensive but they're worth it. With my extra battery I can get 7 hours of play time out of my player. The controls are intuitive, and easy to follow. This is just a well designed, well though out piece of equipment that is a god send to have. It also looks great when hooked up to a large tv.

Rating: Summary: Killer Review: This portable DVD player is killer. After months of research and comparing the available portables - as well as those that are soon to be available - I finally sucked it up and bought the Pioneer for less than a grand. For a price comparable to that of Panasonic's 5 inch model, you get a 7 inch screen - side by side the two are not even comparable. Picture quality, while not perfect, is much better than on the smaller models, and is enhanced by the non-metallic portion of the player that is visible when the player is open. It's a lot easier to watch than the Sharp or Panasonic models. The attachment for the battery is a little goofy - reminds me of a cardboard egg container, only a little sturdier - but that just keeps the heat down. Definitely the best of what's available, and nothing really superior appears to be coming down the pike any time soon. By the way, it does come with an adapter, even though the write ups rarely mention that.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Choice Review: We purchased the Pioneer PDV-LC10 after a side-by-side comparison with the most popular Panasonic model. The Pioneer's 7" screen was far better, and the resolution is great. We bought ours when it was $1500, and it was well worth the extra amount for the better picture quality and wide format screen. The speakers and controls are also superior, and the black face surrounding the screen enhances viewing compared with shiny silver models. The one main flaw is that the battery cannot be recharged while in the player's battery case. A separate recharger and cord is provided, but it's worth buying the extra battery for long trips, or to use one battery while the other is recharging. I would also recommend getting a multi-port headphone amplifier (about $20) if you're going to have more than one person listening in a noisy environment -- for example, on a plane. You can plug in two headphones to the player itself, but the amplifier is nice if you want to hear soft dialog very clearly over background noise. Definitely a head-turner. We normally keep it hooked to our very large TV, and it works great as a home unit.
