Summary: Good combination
Review: I already had a Panasonic DVD player and was very happy with it. The picture and sound quality both met my expectations. When I was looking for a second DVD player this one really stuck out for a few reasons. First I like the Panasonic product, and second it allowed me to remove my multi-disc CD changer. I'll be honest, there really aren't a whole lot of reasons to get a multi-disc DVD changer unless you are just really lazy and want to load your next ten hours of movies at one one time. But the ability to use it as a CD changer makes this unit real nice. If you are like me you already have a lot of peripherals in your system and combining two of them is a real help.

Review: I couldn't be happier with the features of this DVD player. The picture and sound quality are superb as well. The only major drawback I've found is that it doesn't play CD-R's that I've burned myself on my PC. I have a rather large CD collection, from which I've created many "greatest hits" CDs containing my personal favorites. The DVD-C220 DVD player also doubles as my CD player for my home stereo, and I now find myself looking to by another CD player just to play my favorite CDs. Had I known this before I bought, I probably would have went with a Sony.

Summary: Solid DVD / CD player with 5 disc capacity
Review: The Panasonic DVD-C220 represents last year's top of the line. Some of the newer features available this year are missing (zoom). It can't read CD-Rs neither can any of the other players released last year.This player has a great picture, especially the notable clarity, sharpness & color. The sound is as good as any CD player I've used. It has 2 sets of audio/video outs + S-VHS, component & 2 digital audio outs (1 coax + 1 optical). Among the best features is the ability to play audio CDs and skip over DVDs. Great if like me, you are using the DVD player as a CD player. The on screen menus are easy to understand if you read the manual and the indicator lights are informative as well. Plays all of the CD's and DVD's I have tried very well and hasn't skipped yet. Even plays one CD that won't play on my other systems. The audio is great for music and the audio on DVD is fantastic. The disk change is not slow at all and noise is to be expected but it is not annoying in the least. As for the tray, you can't push it closed - you have to push the button. If you're looking for a multi-disc DVD/CD changer for a great price, this is a very good unit to consider. However if CD-R compatibility is a must, I'd say go for Pioneer's 3 Disc changer. Review: This DVD player is excellent. It has so many good features that I didn't know would come in so handy until I actually used it. You can use all of the functions without the REMOTE, which might not sound spectacular, but if the remote has disappeared you still have control. This was a Big problem that I experienced with other DVD players. It is great when I rent 3 or more movies and I can just put them all in and never have to mess with them until it is time to take them back. That is probably the most convenient aspect of the player for ME! Also when going for the double feature you don't have to get up and BLIND everyone with the lights just to exchange the DVDs and see what side of the DVD you want or need to play. Just makes things a lot easier! I haven't tried any of the Sony players to compare the picture quality but up against the Toshiba there is no noticeable difference. I am very picky when it comes to picture quality and I am satisfied,Though I haven't experienced anything better. It definalty gives an excellent picture and doesn't lack any quality. I did notice that the REDS were a little strong when I watch the movies but that may just be my TV, So nothing to worry about I'M sure. The only drawback is that it is bulky. I like to take mine to friends houses if they don't have a DVD player and it is difficult to lug around. But not to many people carry their Players with them, SO no big deal :) I was seriously thinking about taking it back and trying the SONY DVP-S530D to stay in my price range or a Toshiba but after using my friends and then useing mine I have done a 180 and realized I got a heck of a deal! So any questions on how things are going with it just write me and I'll be glad to help. If anyone has tried the sony compared to the panasonic please let me know! Thanks!
