Summary: Cute little DVD player
Review: This is a very nice cute little DVD player. The size of a portable CD player, it is easily transportable from TV to TV, and to the car, the reason I bought it; my 3-year old minivan came with a VHS player with an auxiliary input, so this is the perfect size to sit on the floor in the back for the kids to watch their DVDs (no more reason to buy VHS movies ever again!) Playing is perfect, no skips at all navigating the twists and turns of Chicago's bumpy roads.

Just a few minor gripes: When I power off my car, the cigarette lighter goes dead, so the player doesn't remember where it was on the DVD, so you have to track forward to the correct scene (I guess that's more of a gripe about my van than about the player). Also, the remote control is very weak; you have to be within a few feet of the player and be pointing right at it for the remote to work; hard for the kids to do when the player is on the floor.

I chose this model because it comes with both an AC power cord for in the house and a car adapter for the cigarette lighter, so you don't have to buy an extra adapter. But be aware that it does not come with a battery; the manual describes an optional snap on rechargeable battery pack, but I don't know what that would cost.
